My foot size is 8. 5 regular. The boot size is the same but it feels `` spacious ''. Not too long or short or even wide but ample- enough to accommodate a thick sock. My advice would be that if your foot is low volume or on the small side of the size like mine, order down, if your foot is high volume, order your size, and if your foot is on the high side, order up. A size 8 might have been perfect for me but might not have been roomy enough for thick socks. It's a trade off. The boot leather is super thick but the boots were comfortable right out of the box. No break in required. So far they 're holding up well. The steel toe has not been a problem in the winter cold or summer heat. It is not a factor except when a chunk of wood slips out of my tired hands. I had to learn the need of a steel toe the hard way. I only wish Timberland attached a pull loop to the heel. They put one on their loafers but not on a 6 '' boot. Unusual. A loop would help with the on/off process. What would also help would be lace hooks in place off the top two lace holes. With lace holes the laces have to be pulled down and out to loosen them to widen the boot for removal. You ca n't just kick these boots off. Neither of the above nit picks is a deal breaker. I love these waffle stompers.

Running around, prepping for trip, they kept my feet warm and dry in negative temps and snow. Standing for 4+ hours at a time, no problem. These were the only shoes I took on my 7- day trip: walking, hiking, ice, snow, rain, airports, shopping on cobblestone streets- you name it, I did it and my feet felt great. Fortunately I did not experience standing in deep snow or excessive rain, so I ca n't speak to how waterproof they are in extreme climates- but the limited rain and snow I encountered my feet stayed dry. Traction was good on snow and ice, I did n't slip or slide once. Use the website measurements to choose your size- it was spot on. If you get the fit right, they do n't pull your socks down when you walk. Very good for walking unlink the tradition tall boots. [ I finally broke down to buy proper winter mittens and chose these as I love my Hestra ski gloves. They are soft and warm, keeping my fingers relatively comfortable in 5 degree Wisconsin weather. They are a bit bulky, but I can still shove them in the pockets of my heavy winter jacket. They work well for sledding, walking around, etc. I would prefer a slightly longer, larger wrist so they can go up over the jacket to keep snow from getting in. But otherwise I am very pleased. They are certainly better than anything I have owned thus far( save for my Hestra ski gloves) for serious winter outdoor time.

I bought these mittens for a snowshoeing trip that ended up being very windy and very cold. Despite the less than ideal conditions, my hands stayed toasty warm the entire trip. These mittens are very lightweight, but kept the wind out very well. There were even a few times along the trail were I had to take them off for a few seconds because my hands we too hot! They also seem to be sufficiently waterproof as I had no issues with water getting in or soggy mittens. The leather palms are also decently grippy which was a pleasant surprise. My only minor complaints are less than ideal dexterity( though that is to be expected with mittens) and there is n't a clip included to keep the mittens together when not in use. Overall these are wonderfully warm mittens and well worth the price!

I exchanged for wide width( avail after Christmas!) size 9( as 8- 1/2 were n't avail), I so wanted these boots. The top part above ankle does n't rub( yay) but the boot is way big for my foot. I bought super thick wool socks and manage but still too big on my feet, they slide as I walk. An 8- 1/2, wide- width would 've been perfect for me but I do n't believe they return 2x's. I wear them but can not walk fast in them and I 'm a NYer, oxymoronic. Highly recommend Ariat's Wexford Chelsea waterproof boots regardless! Super boots.

I wear them 95% of the time, on daily 2+- 4 km dog walks, outdoors, year- round and they 're at their peak look and feel. The single possible improvement I made- and that's on me because we have 4 months of winter here- is to replace the soles; the originals are quite tricky on frozen ground. Or a great workout, just watch your head yeah? I chose Vibram, a quick fix and better suited for that.

[ I highly recommend going to a store that carries Ariat boots so you can try them on to find your size. I bought the tack room chocolate and I am loving the color. The pink is brighter in person than on a screen, which for me is a huge plus! Bought 2 pairs of these about six years ago to wear around the barn and working in the woods and running a sawmill. They have been just what my old dogs needed. Comfortable, good support without being tight but easy to slip on and off even with swollen feet at the end of the day. They have been stepped on by horses, had logs dropped on them, been buried in horse manure and mud and yet stayed reasonably waterproof with minimal care. Highly recommend for anyone who likes a pull on work boot.

[ LOVE these shoes!!! So cute and comfortable. Needed warm, waterproof shoes with traction for a trip to Iceland. Straight out of the box these boots were comfy- no break in time necessary. Running around, prepping for trip, they kept my feet warm and dry in negative temps and snow. Standing for 4+ hours at a time, no problem. These were the only shoes I took on my 7- day trip: walking, hiking, ice, snow, rain, airports, shopping on cobblestone streets- you name it, I did it and my feet felt great. Fortunately I did not experience standing in deep snow or excessive rain, so I ca n't speak to how waterproof they are in extreme climates- but the limited rain and snow I encountered my feet stayed dry. Traction was good on snow and ice, I did n't slip or slide once. Use the website measurements to choose your size- it was spot on. These boots look amazing on- they do not make your feet look big and the cream color with the pink laces... cute, cute, cute!!! Bought them to wear on my trip, will happily be wearing them all the time. Do n't hesitate to purchase these boots, you will not be disappointed!

Just bought my third pair. I am in roofing and am very hard on boots. These are comfortable and work well. I add water repellent spray and suggest doing to make more waterproof. I would recommend this brand and style boot.
