I live in southeastern Massachusetts, and it's been unusually cold this winter. I researched different brands of insulated parka coats for men and came to the conclusion the North Face Nuptse Parka is supreme. I love how immediately effective it is in blocking all of the frigid cold even with less layering underneath. On my workdays in the office, I wear a business suit year- round, and this parka takes the place of my usual black wool overcoat. It is light and versatile enough even for warmer days. I 've been a fan of North Face since 1989 when I purchased my first Gortex down parka from them. I adore their quality workmanship, and the zippers last forever!

I ’ ve had this jacket for over two years and I still love it. I wear it most of the year with varying degrees of layers. I love the lower side pockets where I can tuck my hands comfortably( some of the other fjallraven parkas don ’ t have lower side pockets in the women ’s version). I love the variety of pocket types and locations and use all of them. I love the cut and style. I love the color. I have the blue one which is such a beautiful tone. And I love how durable it is. I spend a lot of time in the forest with thorny vines, conifer branches, and a rowdy dog, and it has held up amazingly. Even in lots of rain when the wax layer is up- to- date. It has faded a little. I ’ m not sure if the slight fade is because of use or because I need to be better at waxing it. Please never stop making this jacket.

So glad I have this coat. I live in SE Tennessee so winters are more mild than my original home in the Midwest, but the fit allows me to layer so I 'm confident even during my travels this jacket is a one stop shop. I bought a large. I 'm 5' 2 '', 34J and usually wear a M/L top, size 12. The large fits perfectly, again, with enough room to layer a sweatshirt or sweater underneath comfortably. It does n't look too big without the extra layer under it either. My ONLY super slight complaint is that the sleeves are way too long( which is a common complaint for me). If they were an inch shorter it would be completely perfect, but I think the cut of the coat is such that they 're meant to be longer anyway. It's a specific thing for us shorter folks and it's not anything to make or break the jacket for me personally. I went out of my way to pay full price for it just to get the color I wanted( it was on sale at a wholeseller but did n't have the Acorn color in stock any more), which is n't something I do often. I 've had similar coats that cost less but did n't fit as well, and the versatility, adaptability adjustability, potential longevity of this jacket makes it worth every penny.

I needed a fully waterproof jacket that was lightweight and gave lots of coverage for long dog walks. This is a good one which goes to mid thigh on me( 5' 2 '') with the rounded swoop in the back that looks a bit stylish. The hood is adjustable so it stays put and the collar gives lots of coverage as do the longer sleeves which can cover my hands or adjust with velcro at the wrist and the zippers are waterproof. The pockets are nice and deep with waterproof zippers also. I 'd give it a 5/5 if there were more than 2 external pockets

Well worth the money purchasing but luckily I got mine on sale just before the temperatures dropped and bad weather in eastern Canada. Most times I do not layer but on super cold days I do have a layer beneath and so warm. Extremely breathable. I bought a small and I had room for layering, enjoy the 6 good size pockets, length, quality/workmanship and the warranty. I ’ ve not used in rain days yet but i am sure it will work just fine.

Amazing coat. I got this for Christmas. I wore it for an evening rugby game- minus 3 in the north of England and I was toastie warm. Looking forward to wearing it in Austria next month. I loved the fit too- I ’ m 6 foot and the length on the body and arms is absolutely spot on- a rare find!

Bought this parka and did a ton of research on other brands as well. I wanted the most bang for my buck and I feel that this parka had the best quality and features for the cost! I love how it isn ’ t super tight on your body and overstimulating with other layers. It fits really well with thick base layers or thin layers underneath and greta for both cold and mild temps. Very durable thus far!

Very nice warm jacket I have one for last 20 years. I was working on construction I use this jacket every day., It's very heavy material. You 're not gon na rip it off and it's nice and warm, so I will recommend it. This is the warmest jacket I have ever owned. I 've been wearing it while snowboarding on cold, stormy days over the past few weeks, and I only needed a T- shirt underneath. It's more waterproof than I expected, and the shell fabric feels thick and durable. Overall, it's a great purchase!
