I travel quit a bit and wanted a pair of shorts that I could work out in, trail run, swim in, etc. Also wanted something that would dry quickly. These are great for that. I generally wear a shorter inseam specifically or trail running, but this inseam was a more modest and `` everyday comfortable '' approach. The legs zips off super easy and they are a good length I ’ m 5 ’ 2 ” to give you an idea of where they hit. I would absolutely take these with me on any hike and especially overnight hikes cause they are so universal. Put long johns under them and stay warm. These are worth every penny.

[ I own several Stretch Zion 10 in shorts and try to pick more up whenever there is a great deal. This is one of those rare clothing items that seems perfect in every way and someday I am sure I will be complaining to someone who does not care that they no longer make my favorite shorts. They are comfortable, have just the right number of pockets, and look great. They also have been very durable for me. I have worn them for work, hiking, camping, and more. I normally wear a 29 or 30 inch waist, but do a 28 in these as the stretch material comfortable accommodates me without feeling restrictive. I love that they do have a cinch strap, though, which can be used in place of a belt for a snug fit.
