One of the best parts of this jacket is how well it holds up in gusty conditions. Even without layering heavily, I could feel noticeably less wind- chill than with my old softshell. Very happy with that. The hand pockets are secure, the sleeve pocket is handy for small stuff, and mesh pocket bags help with breathability. I LOVE the Calia Women ’s Cold Dash 1/4 Zip. I got the black in the medium size. I normally wear a small but the description said it is fitted, which it is, and I didn ’ t want a tight fit. This fits me exactly the way I want it too. It is nicely tailored but not skin tight. I am 5 ’ 6 ” and about 128 pounds. Previously, my favorite athletic 1/4 zip jacket was a black one with a back pocket that holds my phone. I had looked everywhere, unsuccessfully, for another until now. This jacket has a very nicely placed pocket in the back that holds my phone very comfortably during my daily morning 2 to 3 mile walks. I ask for duofold wool and cotton combos, but they are impossible top find anymore. Ny wife gave me two pairs of the Platinum II Pants from ColdPruf for Christmas. They have the same insulation value as the duofold but are less bulky, and much more comfortable due to the merino wool. I like these better than my underarmor, too, easier on and off. I like that it has the Omni- heat foil on the inside, which was the main reason I bought it as it can get as low as 9 degrees where I live. I wasn ’ t aware of the “ Outgrown ” thing and was pleasantly surprised to learn about it as I was checking out the jacket. That seems super useful and since I bought this to be grown- into, the extending cuffs add some extra life to the jacket. [ This is a great hunting jacket. I wanted an tough outside lawyer to withstand the thicket, block wind and rain, and allow me to wear layers. This is perfect for that purpose. Also, I 've read a few reviews about how some do not like how the zipper goes up too high, but that really is n't a problem. [ I purchased the prior version of this jacket in Real Tree Hardwoods in 2016 and used it to harvest my first turkey. That jacket lasted 7 hunting seasons( spring and fall) and is still usable but the camo is fading so I bought this jacket as a replacement. I used it the first time for deer this fall. This jacket appears just as durable as my 2016 jacket, but appears to also have water resistance features as an added bonus. With a wool base layer and long sleeve T underneath, the jacket should be ok for a long sit down to 45 degrees. For colder weather, just add a down vest. This is probably a roomy medium. I 'm a true medium( 5'10 '', 160lbs) and the medium in this jacket gives you room to layer, but it's not so big as to let wind come up the waist elastic. I own quite a bit of hunting clothes from some big name competitors, but Carhartt has always been my favorite go- to. My only suggestion for improvement is for Carhartt to expand the line. Make Yukon Extremes in hunting pattern! Expand the types of camo patterns. Build it and they will come.

Vest looks awesome, but description says it has a sherpa lined upper body and hood. Of which it has neither. Carhartt should do a bit more proofreading for its customers. Thanks for making great products but your website team needs a time out.

After asking all children who needed what snow gear to prep for the approaching ski season, all said 'we 're good'. Shockingly, a few days before our first day out, my daughter- who is usually my favorite- gets prompted by my wife, who never fell for the 'we 're good' judgment, was forced to try on her former pants. We suddenly needed a pair, and form over function dictated that they had to be white. Dicks to the rescue! We bought them and picked them up easily that day. Many ski trips in, they 're just what she needed, and I suppose she thinks she looks cool.
