The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.

I had so many questions about this jacket when buying online and not having the opportunity to try it on first. The first question was sizing bc I read reviews saying it was too big. I bought based on the actual measurements of the jacket. I have a medium that is 22 '' in the chest. I usually wear L or XL in women's clothes, I 'm happy w this choice bc the jacket is a little more fitted which is good given the weight and bulk. The other thing I wondered was whether it stretches. People said it was stiff, and it is. I 'm assuming it might loosen up w wear over time. There is some stretch in the jacket and it is the perfect amount to wear this jacket more fitted.

I live in the interior of BC, Canada, where it ’s often brisk in the mornings and evenings. It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well. It was slightly larger than what I thought it would be, as I am hoping to use it under a waterproof layer soon, but the small would likely have been too small. Still thinking it will work as a mid layer when I need it to.
