They state it on the tag and it ’s a 100% true that grid fleece technology keeps you dry and comfortable and warm. Is it a coat you should wear in the snow, probably not, but if it ’s a bit windy and chilly this is the hoody for you! Biggest complaint about most woman wear is the lack of pockets, but Marmot has you covers with two exterior pockets with zippers to keep your items from falling out and two interior pockets, one on either side. The zipper may not seem like a big deal to some people but the have some very functional sturdy zippers that you don ’ t have to worry about breaking or skipping a tooth. Recently bought the Long puffer and the normal/short puffer for myself and partner, and we love them. I ’ m a man and the Women ’s puffer fits fairly unisex in my opinion, the shoulders are broad enough and it fits my torso like a glove. The jacket ’s are super warm but also still very light feeling. The lightweight puffer insulation combined with the grid fleece sleeves makes this jacket very versatile. My favorite features are the sleeves( fitted but not so tight that they ca n't be pushed up) and the extremely usable zippered pockets, including a large inside chest pocket( unfortunately a rare find for women's jackets). I am 5' 2 '', 105 lbs, typically an XXS/XS/00/0 in street clothes, and this jacket is sized well for me. I could have gone with the XXS, but chose the XS so that I could layer under it more easily.

It was plenty warm enough for cool evenings and at high elevations. But the best feature of this jacket is the hood. The hood fits so well around your face and neck. I ’ ve had this coat for a few weeks now and I love it. It ’s dreamily warm, looks fantastic and the pack down feature it really going to be great for travel. It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well.
