I bought these to use with my road bike, which has a cushioned but very narrow seat. If I go for a ride longer than 45 minutes, I usually am sore along my pubic bone. These shorts helped a lot with my 2 hour bike ride this weekend—no discomfort at all! I was also pleased with the fit. I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ”, 160lbs with most of the weight carried in my thighs, so I often have trouble finding shorts that don ’ t squeeze too much and don ’ t ride up. These were long enough that they grabbed my thigh at the narrowest part by the knee, and didn ’ t ride up because of the nonslip band around the leg opening. These have a mid rise, which is not what I normally go for because I ’ m afraid they will fall down, but these stayed put! I got a size M for reference.

Never got the point of these tops until I tried one. Excellent outdoors no matter the weather. Does two jobs, wicking sweat to keep you more comfortable and on cooler days also acts as a second layer. Must be the way the air is `` trapped '' within the holes in the mesh. But they are great on the turbo too, if like me, yours is in the unheated garage. Put a loose top on until you get warmed up. Once that's off, this mesh top is brilliant. Really recommend them.

This short sleeved base layer is the best one I have ever owned. It is very stretchy and close fitting- almost like a compression vest, which takes a bit of getting used to but once out on the road it is extremely comfortable and very warm. The fishnet structure really works to keep you warm- providing you trap your body heat in the holes by keeping the wind out, so I found it works great even in winter if you wear a windproof or waterproof top. I double up by wearing a gilet under my waterproof top. The sizing is difficult to recommend because on a coat hanger it looks like your little sister ’s vest but is stretches almost double in size. Luckily it does this because with a S/M size I must be at the maximum limit! The other good thing is that the sleeves are long and clinging so arm warmers grip to it really well and don ’ t creep down, as happens with all my other under vests. If you have a bit of a belly I recommend using the L/XL. The model is wearing S/M- well I am 5 ’ 10 ” and 77kg and S/M has me trussed up like the guy from Erasure- ha, at least my wife thinks I look good in it so a win;-)

[ This is my 2nd pair of Louis Garneau Fit Sensor shorts and they are now my go- to cycling shorts. I like them because they hug my upper legs well, providing a continuous massage like feeling. To do this this they are constructed using far superior materials compared to the other shorts I have, such as Pearl Izumi. [ My LG Fit Sensor 2 shorts I own are a little bit too small for me, so I bought the sensor 3 shorts 1 size larger than my sensor 2 shorts. One size larger turned out to be a perfect fit for me and the top band does not roll over. I found sensor 3 to be very comfortable and it feels like it might be a little bit lighter/cooler material than the sensor 2 shorts. To my surprise, the leg length is a little bit longer than the sensor 2 leg length, which is good. Also, the legs stay in place as I ride. I only ride 15- 20 miles, so I can not say how they are for long rides, but they are great for my use.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and it go better from there. The look was good enough to wear even when not riding and the added liner was super comfortable. I ’ ve had a chance to wear this with the recent sunny weather and have to say it ’s really good. Better than I expected. Fantastic cut and light as a feather I got medium at 80kg and it is spot on and like a glove. The pockets are perfectly placed and the jersey doesn ’ t sag when you put stuff in them as can happen with some lightweight garments. Really like the design too so a winner all round.
