There is one zipper on the right side with a nice long pull cord so my kids we able to easily open and close it while laying inside. This is a mummy bag and has two pull strings on each side which pull it close around their head to stay warm. When open there was plenty of room to add a pillow inside the bag for them.

A good heavy- duty zipper goes all the way across the bottom so that the bag can open flat and there is a neat feature, a Velcro flap that covers the top of the zipper so that it won ’ t unzip in use or allow the zipper to be damaged when zipped up. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

The oversized hood goes over my helmet and keeps me very cozy. Easily the best jacket I ’ ve invested in. It is a little big but that does allow me to layer comfortably while still maintaining mobility. I ’ d prefer this over a tighter fit and baggy is steezier anyway. Really great shirt: comfortable for hot days and nights. It gets only 4 stars by comparison with last year's Shade Lite shirt. This one has slightly heavier fabric, and seemingly, a tighter weave, so it does n't breathe as well. On the other hand, the new snaps are much easier to unsnap than last year's metal ones.( I sometimes wonder if I 'll rip the snap out of the Shade Lite before it disengages!)

I 've had several pairs of rain pants from other manufacturers over the years and these are the best so far. They do n't restrict my leg movements, do n't leak, and are easy to get on and off. The rise is high, so you have good overlap with your top and the waist drawstring seems sturdy enough, although I pair them with suspenders also. Rain and wet brush are expected if you are outside much of the year here in the PNW, so you need some good rain pants.

My issue is n't with the pants which are great, BUT with the sizing chart- I am 6' 3 '' and 36 '' waist and a large size works for me but I have an 34 '' inseam and the chart recommendation is to get a tall size however I think regular would have been much better. The pant legs bunch up at the bottom when I have mid waterproof hiking shoes on. The OR pro deal is great but unfortunately they do n't allow exchanges or returns. I would liked to have swapped this pair for a large regular.

This is my second time purchasing these pants. I bought my original pair for a trip to Everest in 2021 and I wore them for weeks straight. They have great stretch, and I loved the adjustable waist and venting in particular as I tend to run hot. We had many days of cold rain on the way up and these pants kept me warm the whole time.( paired with lightweight base layer leggings). This is really a nice fleece jacket. The sleeve length is perfect, the overall length of the jacket is also exactly what I had hoped for. The pocket zipper pulls are very tiny and a little bit hard to unzip, but the pockets are very roomy, enough to fit a large cell phone or perfect for storing gloves when hiking. I initially thought it was a lighter mustard color and am satisfied with the darker, almost pumpkin shade. It ’s very warm and seems like the construction is made to last. I wore short sleeves under it to go shopping as I anticipated getting too warm. It was very warm but it is early in the season. I look forward to wearing it when the temperatures drop even more. I live in the Pacific Northwest and this fleece is perfect to wear under a rain jacket on chilly wet days. It looks great and I get compliments on it( rare for a black fleece jacket in the land of black fleece jackets!). As others have mentioned, the zipper pulls on the pockets are tiny and hard to manipulate. Sometimes I need two hands to open and close them. The pockets also are n't lined with fleece on the side that touches your body. It's just a mesh panel, which I find to be not very comfortable. The fit is true to size. I 'm 5'10 and a size 10- 12. The L fits well and covers my butt. If I were to repurchase( which I will if the zippers and pockets are ever redesigned) I 'd size up to more comfortably fit a sweatshirt underneath.

One of the best mountaineering pants you can get- durable, breathable, and yet still warm at any altitude. These are my go- to pants for many PNW mountain treks( Mt Adams, Middle Sister, Mt. Hood, etc). The fit is fairly true- to- size, but I would have expected a bit more stretch in the waist. I 'm usually a 32 in most clothing, and M's feel a bit tight. There's plenty of stretch in the legs which makes for easily climbing, but the waist can definitely be a bit annoying. It's not enough to take away from how great these are, but something to consider if you 're on the border of sizes.

Love this jacket. I was worried about the reports that it's `` short '' I 'm 5' 9 '' with a longer torso and short legs( 30- 32 inseam) and the jacket came to just below my belt line. It's definitely a jacket for car camping, walks around town, etc. This IS N'T a summit series jacket and is defiantly not built as a belay jacket which I think some get confused. For me, after hitting the slopes and a bit sweaty, I pull this out of my pack, fluff it up( it folds into its own pocket and packs very small) and put it on going in and out of the lodge before the sweat get cold and drops my body temp.

I have several sizes of these bags I use for various adventures.( not a hard core adventurer) All have been tough, rugged and weather resistant.( I would n't dunk them in water but do n't worry about wet ground or rain) The handles and shoulder straps are comfortable. Bag is big and voluminous. I wish there was a compartment on both ends and/or a way to section the one big space.

Rugged, tough, weather resistant. I have a couple sizes of these. Had them for years. I 'm not real hard on them, but they have taken everything, no issues. Big and roomy. I wish they had separate compartments on each end.
