I like these gloves. They keep me warm, and are definitely waterproof. I used them to get minnows out of our minnow cooler, dipped them in cold water, and my hands did not get wet. They fit well, too.

This is my second pair of Simms guide gloves. I somehow lost the last pair, and they were great as well, so I went right back to Simms for another pair. I highly recommend these gloves.

Have used my prior ones for 10+ years despite wear on the material portion the leather is still excellent. They werent availableca while so ordered now thst they are. I ordered small, which is too tight on the new ones( wear size 7 to 7. 5 gloves), but once on they are comfortable. The new leather pattern is simpler but coverage as good as prior. They work for rowing and casting, but as tight slow to get of to handle the trouts, which average 2 to 4 inches over measurement. Getting a metric ruler to help

Fished in and around the Belizian mangroves with little wind so the Simms bugstopper gloves, shirt, pants and socks got the full test all week and I was shielded! Thanks for making great products that perform as advertised.

Good fit. Lightweight and quick drying. The length of the fingers is in relation to the larger space to cover leaving some finger free. This can be a little uncomfortable. With use, the seams come apart and the Simms logo peels off.
When selecting fly fishing gloves, consider features such as waterproofing, breathability, and UV protection. Gloves with adjustable cuffs can help ensure a snug fit, while materials like neoprene offer insulation and flexibility. Additionally, look for gloves with reinforced palms for better grip and durability during fishing activities.
Fly fishing gloves are often made from materials like neoprene, which provides insulation and water resistance, or lightweight synthetic fabrics that offer breathability and UV protection. Some gloves also incorporate specialized coatings to repel water and enhance grip. Choosing the right material can significantly impact comfort and performance while fishing.
Fly fishing gloves can enhance your experience by providing protection from the elements, improving grip on fishing gear, and reducing the risk of sunburn. They also help keep your hands warm in colder conditions while allowing for dexterity when handling fishing lines and lures. Overall, the right gloves can make your time on the water more enjoyable and efficient.
There are various types of fly fishing gloves designed for different weather conditions. For warm weather, lightweight gloves with UV protection are ideal, while insulated gloves are better suited for cold weather to keep your hands warm. Waterproof gloves can be beneficial in wet conditions, ensuring your hands stay dry while fishing.
To choose the right size of fly fishing gloves, measure your hand circumference around the knuckles and refer to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer. It's important to ensure a snug fit without being too tight, as this allows for better dexterity and comfort while fishing. Trying on different styles can also help you find the best fit for your needs.
