They especially shined when it came to winter sports because any contact with the snow would previously give me wet, cold hands. There is no such thing with these with the combination of GoreTex and with the cuffs going up so high on my arm and being adjustable, wet hands and arms are a thing of the past. There are a number of handy features as well with finger holds on the outside of ring fingers make the gloves easy to remove even while gloved. The retention cuffs do their job well. I would recommend these for someone looking for a nice pair of gloves that wants to keep their hands warm and dry. They outperform everything else at their price point.

I have a whole collection of gloves, including others from OR, that do not meet that goal. I suspect that those reviewers that find fault with warmth or wind resistance simply did not get the right fit for their particular hand shape. These gloves are water- resistant( not proof) for up to two hours and did allow me to check my phone but just barely, so keep those expectations reasonable. These are super comfy and soft, thin enough to stay agile for tying knots or any other campsite tasks, but cozy enough to stay warm. I do n't think I would trust these to last super long on the trail using trekking poles all day, but that's not what these are for. They 're more like glove liners or campsite gloves than proper technical gloves. But for the price, fit, comfort and style, you ca n't beat them. They match up perfectly with my Trail Mix 1/4 Zip Pullover, which is great for those pics/vids while you 're hanging around the campgrounds. Just wish they had more colors.

The gloves are amazing balancing the durability of leather and the performance of gortex. The gloves can be a little stiff but after a day of use they feel start to feel like a second skin. The details are really what makes this glove so great. The pull loop combined with the velcro cuff is a amazing mix that lets you put both gloves on in a matter of seconds. The gloves are plenty warm for just about anything, I 've used them down to below zero with wind chill with just a liner and my hands were as toasty as ever. I 've yet to have a issue with the palm leather wetting out. The only issue I 've had is that velco on the cuff can cause the material around it to fuzz up a little bit but it's barley notice able and is only a visual problem. Overall I 'd recommend these gloves for anyone who is looking for a great ski glove for the slopes, and beyond.

I find my hands get colder now in the winter than they did before. I like that these gloves are water and windproof, and some insulation for warmth. I 've always had issues with cold hands while skiing. My best pair are the 3 finger Hestra glove which until i bought these, were my go to warm gloves. Even with the Hestra gloves, my fingers would get cold below 15°. Recently we were planning a ski trip and the forcast temps were to be a high of 0° and i knew my other gloves would not be sufficient, so i decided to purchase the Action heat gloves. I was very happy, with the sub 0° temps, my hands stayed warm. With those temps, I did keep them on the high setting knowing that I had also purchased a 2nd set of batteries which I 'm glad i did. I also have a Action Heat vest that i bought a few years ago and its been great too.
