I was able to get for the same price as Amazon so picking up at Dick's House of Sport was easy and we got to use them the next day. My pair of Hestras are going strong 5+ years later and still fine. At$ 110 the features Hestra should provide but does n't on these gloves were wrist tethers and a clip to keep the pair together( provided on their more expensive gloves) I added both myself which is easy to do. Even though they are expensive I think they will last years and years. Make sure to put the leather conditioner on the leather sections to keep them in good shape( it is sold separately).

I bought these a month or so ago, because I was using my snow blower and my fingers were going numb. Even when I put hand warmers in my gloves, my finger tips were still freezing. So, that day I went and bought these and have no regrets. There two layers, a glove inside of a mitten, so you can use hand warmers and keep your palms and fingers warm. There is also a zipper pouch to put a hand warmer on the back of your hand if you need the heat there. Now my biggest problem is that my wife steals them to go on her walks because they work so well.( And I did n't even mention how comfy they are).( for the sizing question below.... the inner glove runs small, but the outer shell mitten is normal or slightly on the big side)

I could n't decide between the snow gloves and the premium gloves and just decided to try the cheaper ones first to see if they heated up enough for a Wisconsin winter. Yuppers, they do. So with the money I saved not buying the snow gloves, I got some more 5volt batteries, so my hands do n't every get cold if I can help it. Shoveling snow or brushing off my car I wear these gloves and they have n't let me down yet.

When I saw these heated gloves in the store, I thought it was such a clever idea. It saves me money and I feel better about not using so many disposable hand warmers. They get the job done in generally wet or cold conditions, but not sure how they would handle in the extreme conditions. I did not dunk them in water, but I fell several times and the wet never got through and if synched right, water/snow would not come in the glove at the wrist, but only if I synced them right. It was fine in the cold when it was in the teens, but once it got below 10 degrees F, I felt the cold. I can only assume that is just the way it is, but I did have high expectations of these. For the cost, I would definitely get these again. I was a little disappointed that I had to get the wrist straps and leather balm separately, so part of me regrets not shelling out more to get that included, but also possibly the inserts in the higher end item.

[ The fit is a bit small, depending on what you plan on doing with them. I bought these in a women's small. I have small hands; my palm circumference is an even 7 '' and the length of my hand is just less than 7 ''. I 've never previously found a women's small to be at all tight, in fact, sometimes I have to order extra smalls, but these gloves are just a tad bit on the small side. They fit perfectly when my hand is curled, as if you 're holding onto your ski poles or something else, but when I try to stretch my hand as open as possible, it feels just a bit tight in the length. So if you plan on standing around with your hand opened wide and pressed down flat, you should size up. The other issue is the gauntlet sleeve is a little tight/small in circumference-- it's just a bit hard to pull on over a parka sleeve, especiallly if one glove is already on. Also, if you want really fine dexterity, these are too thick for that. I found that while the touchscreen fingers do work fine on my phone and tablet, the difficulty comes in in accuracy, due to the thickness of the gloves. I also found it a little difficult to use a sensitive two button mouse without accidental clicks. However, those things aside, the gloves are very comfy/cozy. The inside lining is soft and I have n't yet noticed sweaty palms. They kept me warm and dry working outside in cold and rainy weather, which is what I bought them for. I would have preferred if the palms had been reinforced with another layer of leather, but so far they seem to be holding up to chopping and stacking wood and other miscellaneous odd jobs around a cabin in the woods when it's cold and rainy. I would imagine these would be good for snowsports as well as winter motorcycling, but again, if you 're looking for really fine touchscreen dexterity, I 'd find a thinner glove that maybe is n't as warm/thick.
