I am a mail carrier and I recently purchased these to wear while working. They really work well, I can use them on low and they keep my hands plenty warm.( keep in mind I am walking while wearing them so I am generating some heat, I do n't know how well they would work if you were sitting) Since these are thicker, sorting the mail takes a bit to get used to but it's worth it. The battery does not last all day so I did purchase the extra battery pack. Only cons are that the sizing was not right for me. My hand measures 7. 5 '' so I ordered the large but they are too big. I ended up getting them in medium and they are much better. Also, the button to turn them on and change the temp is easy to use but if you need to shut them off, you have to unplug the battery to get them to turn back on again. It's not convenient having to take the gloves off but it is minor since they actually keep my hands warm!

I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They get the job done in generally wet or cold conditions, but not sure how they would handle in the extreme conditions. I did not dunk them in water, but I fell several times and the wet never got through and if synched right, water/snow would not come in the glove at the wrist, but only if I synced them right. It was fine in the cold when it was in the teens, but once it got below 10 degrees F, I felt the cold. I can only assume that is just the way it is, but I did have high expectations of these. For the cost, I would definitely get these again. I was a little disappointed that I had to get the wrist straps and leather balm separately, so part of me regrets not shelling out more to get that included, but also possibly the inserts in the higher end item.

Been using Bd gloves for many years and they have always been great but these are hands down the warmest mitt I ’ ve had, which is so great to have for those super chilly days up on the resort. No finger separators which I like as your body heat keeps each digit warm.

These are hands down( haha!) the best mittens ever! I have spent a lifetime of winters with perpetually frozen fingers, desperate for a way to foil Mother Nature. Enter the Black Diamond Mission MX mittens and all I can say is let ’s go outside, and bring on the snow. First of all, this is the first xs mitten that really is extra small and fits me. There ’s loads of insulation but they ’ re not too bulky( they work great with ski poles and trekking poles and give me enough dexterity to make snow balls). They are really well made and packed with features( wrist elastic and Velcro, soft suede on the thumbs, leashes with toggles, super cozy insides, and super weather- proof outsides. And they are WARM! I have yet to come in from the cold to warm up my hands. So happy.
