These came just in time for me to shovel my driveway. I thought the elements were on the backs of the hands so was uneasy with gripping a snow shovel, but it must have been okay. I did n't think with the elements on the palms of the hands, that my hands would stay warm. But, when I got inside and took them off, my hands were warm. They are huge( I 'm sure intended for a man's hands), but I made it work. In the long run, I 'm very happy with them. Will probably only wear them at home because of the way they look on me, but that's okay too. Like that they run off of normal batteries instead of a power pack that could eventually stop charging. I have Raynauld ’s syndrome which makes my hands super cold all the time. I usually put Hothands packs in my gloves to stay warm but my finger tips still get chilly enough to send me into the lodge for a bit. These heated snow gloves have warning elements that run through each finger. When I started to get cold, I turned the heating element on high for about 5 mins. After a couple of runs, I was plenty warm& turned them off all together. It wasn ’ t a super cold day( mid 40 ’s). I was outside for about 6 hours or so& probably only had the battery on for 1/2 hr total( the gloves themselves are nicely insulated). There was enough battery left to charge my phone on the drive home.

My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. These gloves keep your hand dried very well. I have n't used under several weather yet, so I am not sure about waterproof from rain& snow yet. I used these at 10~15 degrees C, and my hands held some sweat. These gloves alone would be good between- 10~10 degree C. You would need extra thermal gears under- 10C. I felt the size runs a little large as I break in. You could do half size down if you want tight fits.

No more cold fingers. The liners seam to run on the smaller side. If you are on the upper end of the size chart, go for the next size larger.
