I am normally not a Hat Person, but this one is terrific! I ordered the size medium in the color opal, which is a a light off- white. It's very flattering in every way-- size, fit, color. It shades my face without blocking my view. The fabric itself is lightweight= cool, not flimsy. So... can I give you 6 stars on this one?

A well made hat, just a bit too small for my head. I would buy it in an extra large if you made it in that size. I like the brim, just the right depth for protection, without interfering with my collar. I have another one of this style that I purchased several years ago, and it is still my go- to hat for the out- of- doors.

I was first introduced to Sunday Afternoon Hats on a trek up Mount Shasta in 2017. 7 years later I still have that original hat which has become a favorite of both my grandson and husband as they work on our property in the hot Texas sun. I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Very versatile and can be used in any number of scenarios. Thanks for a great product!

I bought this several years ago and did n't wear it much because I was so attached to another Sunday Afternoons hat I had. Finally the old hat wore out after so many washings and I started wearing my Sunset Hat, and am still wearing it. I love it! The wire around the brim helps to keep its shape, although I put my hats all to the test-- I wear them hard. But they last!

Bought this one to replace old one that was blue and has traveled around the world with me. Love how light and compact it can be when not wearing it and how you can expand it for wearing to keep sun off your face and neck. Only reason I have to replace old one after 12+ years is because of the metal in the outer part finally snapped in few spots. So outer part does not hold shape as well especially in wind. Mind you I washed it with similar color clothes probably once or wove a year( which might not have been recommended) and would fold it over twice to fit in top of back back on travel days in airports and buses. I ’ m just happy I still had tag on old hat to find company to buy this new one. The old one I will still wear around house doing yard work. Needless to say after buying several different hats this if my favorite one for spring, summer, and fall. Thank you for this wonderful design that stands up to my abuse and keeps looking great.
