These pants are great! The material is very soft and durable. I ’ ve gotten them caught on things and they haven ’ t even seemed to rip or fray. They have just enough flex to move freely and are double stitched. Nice large pockets also!

I got these online to use as work pants. The elastic waistband and drawstring secured them pretty well. The material is rugged, but not rigid. They seem like they 'll wear decently over time. I bought them with the short inseam, and I think they 're still a tad long for me( 29 ''- 30 '' is my normal). Overall nice pants.

As always, the Smith Summit Pants deliver. This is my third pair, and I ’ ve owned every generation so far. The new version definitely runs larger — in previous generations, size L felt consistent across models, but this time L fits more like an XL from the older ones. The redesigned knee pockets are now placed more toward the front of the thigh instead of the side. I ’ m still getting used to this change and not sure yet if I prefer it, but the functionality seems about the same. I ’ m happy they brought back the snap button on the rear pocket — much better than the zipper from V2. The single- layer knee pockets are still a small letdown compared to the older double- pocket design. The added soft, stretchy lining on the inside of the waistband is a nice touch — feels great and adds comfort for all- day wear. Overall, still one of the best pairs of pants I ’ ve ever owned. Just one small wish — it would be nice if Nike added some ACG stickers in the box! Greetings from Ukraine 🇺🇦

Fire 🔥 Pants/Shorts. These are the one pair of pants that can do it all. Very convenient in the airport when I wore them last. Had room for all my items and more. Beware!! The fabric is swishy like the crinkly sweat pants from the early 90 ’s, but very comfortable and cool to the skin. Trust me I wore these for an entire day in Miami and was very comfortable the entire time. The pants wick up sweat without feeling nasty or wet. I liked them so much I ordered the black pair.

Great all around outdoors pants. Light weight and flexibility enough to work in, hike and a casual mountain bike ride. The box style pattern stitching definitely resists pulls and tears from thorns/brush. Drawstring waistband is nice so you don ’ t have to wear a belt. They are comfortable and well constructed, with great features that I did n't even know I would be so happy with, such as the zipable back pockets and snaps to secure a rolled up cuff. 5
Bergsteig
I purchased these pants in both the zip- off and non- zip- off models for an extended trip to southeast Asia. Three countries and 30 days later these pants, like the others I have purchased over the years from Columbia have been impressive. They wear like steel surviving daily wearing where I sat, hiked, climbed in and out of long boats, tuk- tuks, taxis, busses, through remote villages, along muddy tracks, and repeated washing in sinks and the occasional clothes washers. The hot humid climate created a thermal challenge but wearing shorts was not an option given all manner of biting insects that carry a variety of nasty diseases. These pants are super lightweight and fast drying. Most stains came out in the wash and those that did n't, probably would n't come out of any fabric.

I am a woman and wear these pants for work. Super flattering even to a woman, when so many other khakis we have the option of buying are either too short or have legs that are just as wide as the thigh area, making it look like you have log legs. These are also durable and iron nicely.

Bought every color because of the comfort. Loved the paramount pants but these pants take the wheel. They have that light tactical feel. Perfect for a hike, light or durable work attire, comfortable under waders, great for layering. They cut wind a little better than the paramount pants too.

[ Absolutely amazing pair of pants. They breath well, are comfortable, and are flexible enough to support a full range of movement. They are as formal as a pair of good looking jeans, but are just as comfortable as a pair of sweatpants. Perfect for the trail, work, or a meet up with friends. My only complaint is that `` short '' was not short enough and I had to go get them hemmed( a common problem for a short guy like myself).

Absolutely! Here's a glowing review designed to catch the seller's eye: ★★★★★ These pants changed the way I travel! I 'd always struggled with bulky luggage and uncomfortable plane outfits. Then, I found these travel pants and everything clicked! Here's why:* Wrinkle- resistant and chic enough to wear out. 12- hour flight? No problem!* Lightweight: I am always looking for something that is lightweight, easy to pack and re durable not to mention breathable. And these pants were the perfect balance.* Style for days: They look amazing with both sneakers and boots. Honestly, these might be the most life- changing pants I own. If you 're a traveler, grab a pair( or three!) You wo n't regret it!

I use these leggings for running in cool to cold temperatures, and they do great with sweat management. The pocket is in a much better spot than the previous version so that they can be used to hold a phone or energy bar with minimal bouncing. They also do well in PNW wet weather, keeping my legs warm even when soaked through with rain.

Predominantly a cold weather running pant, though I have used it for nordic skiing as well. I find the pant performs exactly as I hoped, meaning that I can run in above freezing temperatures without overheating, but do n't freeze at- 10C. You guys nailed it with these. They are incredibly comfortable and perfect for hiking in the mountains or exploring downtown. I get compliments every time I wear them. These are my favorite pants to wear in spring- fall. Seriously puts me in a better mood wearing them because if feels like you 're wearing nothing at all they 're so light. Also tough and seem to be reasonably water resistant. I removed the zipper tags to make them look a little more appropriate for causal workday wear. Bought a second pair a week after the first.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

Love the fabric in these. Plenty of flex, and are easy to move around in. They are versatile in that they look good enough to wear to the office, or as every day wear. Fit was pretty good, but a bit too big, and I returned them. I look forward to trying them again in the near future.

Bought these for a hike on Mount Ranier, and they performed exceptionally well. The weather was n't too hot( I 'm from Florida) that day, and I slipped and fell down a jagged set of rocks and they did n't tear at all, although my palm meat took a massive gash. I was honestly surprised that they held up, and the lifetime repair option was what got us to purchase them in the first place.

If you ’ re tall and slender you need these pants. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 ” 190- 200lbs and the 34 long fits absolutely perfect. More comfortable than any pants ive ever worn. I wear these multiple times a week and have multiple pairs now. they can totally fit in with a collared shirt and are acceptable in most work environments. They don ’ t look like technical hiking pants with an elastic waistband unless you really pay attention. I also wore them for multiple elk hunts this fall and they served me very well. Still look brand new and my hunting partners Sitka pants look like the loop side of Velcro from the same brambles and granite rocks we walked through. You don ’ t have to wear gaiters in most swampy or wet areas because of the drawstring at the cuff. Belt loops are big enough for a thick tactical belt and have additional loops for a carabiner or hand warmer pouch. They are very water resistant, don ’ t gain much weight when soaked through, and dry very quickly. They pack down to almost nothing and pockets serve as very effective vents — direct airflow to the gentleman parts. Perfect pants for hunting, backpacking, climbing. If you pair with a base layer they are perfectly fine for the winter, down to 0F at least. My only criticism is that they are not good around campfires or sparks. You will get a pinhole if a tiny ember lands on them. Buy the full g1000 pants if you are gon na be around a campfire or work environment with sparks.

Wearing these pants now. Very comfortable. Minimal stretch. Great fit and look for trail to city. Sizes slightly small so if you ’ re between sizes pick the larger size. Fabric is such that animal hair doesn ’ t get buried in the fabric. Nice water repellency for walking in the rain with dog. Final verdict is these pants are understated but technical enough for wear and tear. Get yourself a pair.

These pants are perfect for outdoor activity or morning runs, but also work amazing as very casual dress pants. I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ” and the smalls fit perfectly length wise. Waist wise they are a bit large but the drawstrings work very well. All around amazing and worth it completely.

These pants are so comfortable. They got me through a transatlantic flight, and back home in comfort. I 'm told they are stylish too, not that I would notice.

These pants are great! Very comfortable and light weight, perfect for summer weather or relax in. My only complaints are that the pull straps are elastic which make it very difficult to tighten it around my waist, and that it doesn ’ t show the inseam length on the website. Other than that they ’ re great!

Fits well and looks great. To get into the pants( lot of complaints from others and I agree it is a little tight), make sure the belt is undone or completely loose.

[ I bought these based off the reviews. The reviews are spot on. These are great warm weather hiking pants. They are your typical/fancy plastic pants, so they will burn, tear and fail in time, but I knew this going into the purchase. Great cut for hiking boots. Not too sloppy around the ankles/footwear

[ Fits well, a little on tighter side but loosens up when hiking. The fabric is interesting, it ’s somewhat softer than Patagonia Quandary pants( my other favorite). Only concern is the fabric seems to soak up moisture a bit more than I expected on damp days.

[ Used them during a week long backpacking trip in Yosemite. They did phenomenally going up and down the mountain. Lower warm elevations were no problem due to its breathability and high cold elevations were no problem once moving but easily fit some long John ’s underneath. The only down side is the zippered right leg pocket. It didn ’ t rain on my trip but I tested the water shedding in the shower. The zipper is a shire place for water to seep in during a downpour. Still love them though!

I bought these as a gift for my partner. He wanted a pant that he could wear to work and on the trail. These were the perfect pant for him. The light weight technical fabric is cool and comfortable. Meanwhile the silhouette has sleek lines so he can get away with wearing them to work. Highly recommend!

What I love about the Coraje Tech Pant is how they do n't look like `` hiking gear '' but perform like it. The material is surprisingly lightweight yet feels incredibly durable. I appreciate Cotopaxi ’s commitment to ethical manufacturing, which makes me feel even better about the purchase. They ’ ve become my go- to for travel because they ’ re breathable and resist wrinkles. A perfect blend of style and substance.

Bought these for my husband, and he absolutely loves them. Super comfortable, breathable, and sharp looking. They do run long if you ’ re under 6 ’ tall, but no so long as to where they ’ re unwearable.

I have never liked jogger pants even though I owned a few from various brands. Got these pants from OR and they are amazing. Comfortable, super stretchy but do n't lose their looks and shape, I even discovered while cleaning a stain I had made that the pains are fantastically water resistant and yet they magically remain breathable and very light. These have become my favourite pants by far. To be mentioned, I have climbed a few times with these and you can observe some minor scratches on the knees. This is to be expected so I do n't argue for the quality of the material, but still worth knowing that they are not magical paints, sadly:) I am from Europe and OR is not such a common brand to find. They convinced me with this product, since then I also have bought their Foray rain jacket, which is awesome.

Awesome Joggers. I have a pair of the Ferrosi pants as well, which are great for hiking, but love the tapered leg for running and more active days. Tough, flexible, and with just the right wind resistance, I find myself wearing these even when I 'm not running or hiking.

I love these pants. They are comfortable, fit well and the pockets are great( the back one fits a phone without it sliding around). I can wear for days at a time without needing to wash. Will be getting another pair.

[ My Ferrosi joggers came in good and proper. These pants are great for my weekends fly fishing on the river to keep cool and the sun off my skin just just as much as they are great for hanging around and doing anything. I ca n't keep these pants off both my legs. I 'll be sure to get a second pair when I want another color. Please make these in black! Love these britches. Would Recommend.
When selecting men's casual hiking pants, consider features such as moisture-wicking fabric, breathability, and stretch for comfort and mobility. Look for pants with multiple pockets for storage and adjustable waistbands for a better fit. Additionally, consider pants with UV protection for sunny hikes and water-resistant materials for unexpected weather.
Men's casual hiking pants are often made from synthetic materials like nylon or polyester, which provide durability and moisture-wicking properties. Some styles may incorporate cotton for added comfort, while others might feature blends that enhance stretch and breathability. It's important to choose materials that suit your hiking environment and personal comfort preferences.
Yes, men's casual hiking pants come in various styles, including cargo pants, utility pants, and tapered fits. Cargo pants typically offer additional pockets for gear, while utility pants may feature reinforced areas for durability. Tapered styles provide a more modern look, making them versatile for both hiking and casual outings.
The best fit for men's casual hiking pants should allow for freedom of movement while being comfortable. Look for pants that provide a relaxed fit with enough room in the thighs and knees for bending and climbing. Additionally, consider adjustable features like drawstrings or elastic waistbands to ensure a secure fit during your hikes.
Absolutely! Men's casual hiking pants are designed for versatility and can be worn for a variety of outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, or even casual outings in town. Their comfortable fit and functional features make them suitable for both active and relaxed settings, allowing you to transition seamlessly from the trail to everyday life.
When choosing men's casual hiking pants for different seasons, consider the weight and material of the pants. For warmer weather, opt for lightweight, breathable fabrics that wick moisture away. In cooler conditions, look for pants that offer insulation or are made from thicker materials. Additionally, consider layering options for added warmth during colder hikes.
