I bought 4 of these for my grandchildren to wear under their lacrosse gear. The size guide was spot on and the shirts did exactly what we wanted them to do which was to stop their shoulder and elbow pads from pinching them. The benefit we did not know was it kept those pads from shifting during play. The shirts do not hold body odour after washing and they dry quickly so can be washed in a hotel sink and hung up to dry. I have a number of Under Armour products and am hardly ever displeased. Because I wear these as a type of under shirt you do n't necessarily have to go with you typical size, say XL. You can go down to a L or even M and be fine. IF it's not your primary shirt.
