I bought 4 of these for my grandchildren to wear under their lacrosse gear. The size guide was spot on and the shirts did exactly what we wanted them to do which was to stop their shoulder and elbow pads from pinching them. The benefit we did not know was it kept those pads from shifting during play. The shirts do not hold body odour after washing and they dry quickly so can be washed in a hotel sink and hung up to dry. [ I have a tough time finding shorts that fit me well. When I do find them, I buy them in bulk, in every color. My last favorites were Columbia( from 4- 5 years ago), which I had to `` retire '' this year... they 've seen a lot of wear, and have held up great! I recently ordered 4 different styles in a few different sizes. This style fit me the best, so I bought 5 pair. I am 5' 7 '', 130 lbs, and 60 yo. I have long, lean legs, and a short waist. I have shorts that fit me well from size 4- 8, just depends on the style. I tried size 6 in the 5 '' inseam, but the waist was a little snug, so I returned for size 8, which fit perfectly. I still have room in the hips, but they fit nicely and give me some shape. And my legs do n't look like sticks hanging out of a barrel!;) This fabric has a nice, silky feel to it. Some of the others I tried were a bit stiff and `` papery '' feeling. I highly recommend these.
