Bought this to take to a conference so I do n't have to lug my backpack around. Key to avoiding the return was whether my 11 '' iPad Pro would fit. It does, just well enough not to be a nuisance to unpack. Key unlock for me was the water bottle holder that zips out. This will be really nice for events like this and probably baseball games so I can keep score.

Excellent bag. I use this for the gym before work. Fits my work clothes easily as well as men ’s size 13 shoes in the side compartment. I also keep a pair of flip flops for the shower and a typical size lunch box in there. Comfortable. Solid materials and plenty big for what I need. There is a discrete strap on the back that allows you to attach to your suitcase. And something that really caught my eye was the side compartment for wet/dirty clothes. It allows you to separate your wet/dirty clothing from the clean. I have also used the compartment for my shoes. The material of the bag also makes it very easy to clean. [ I love the versatility of this bag. I go to many different types of workout classes including cardio, strength, and yoga and it seems like this bag has a pocket for everything. The exterior yoga mat pocket is clever as it does n't take up space inside the bag and allows it to air dry after a hot yoga class. The dirty clothes pocket is convenient and it even has an interior keychain to help you keep track of your keys. The zipper is large and easy to use. The bag is on the bigger size but does n't feel too bulky. This is one of the more innovative gym bags I have ever owned.

[ This is a bag, I did n't know how much I needed, until I used it! I absolutely love the shape of this bag! I love how it's circular versus the normal rectangular shape with square outside pockets. The material is nice and thick, but lightweight. I could fit everything I needed in it for a weekend stay. Love how the handles have some extra fabric for a comfortable feeling when carrying, but also doubles as holding a blanket through it without it slipping through like it does with other bags. It comes with other additional nice attributes that I 've never seen before, like side luggage slits so it could fit over the luggage handle and sit on top of the luggage without shifting. Also like the thick fabric added to the zippers. It's a very nice, nonflashy, simple black bag. Which I love! And it's a bag I feel like I could pack full without worrying about if it will hold up or tear. I could use it for anything. I am very picky when it comes to the perfect travel backpack, and I did months of research before deciding on the Cotopaxi Allpa 42L. It has the most features I 'm looking for in a travel bag and I was even able to get it on sale. The first important factor is the capacity, as this is one of thr only carryon sized travel backpacks I 've found that I actually feel could pack as much as a roller suitcase. I love the waterproof material, sleek design, the organization( especially the HUGE top pocket), stowable straps, stretchy bottle pockets, the packing capacity, and most importantly the COMFORT. I was torn between the 35 and 42L as this is primarily for international travel, and the depth of the 42 is slightly too deep. But the width measurement on the 35 was slightly too narrow, and I figured it 'd be easier to underpack the 42 than to try to not overpack the 35. The only things I would add/change are a top access laptop pocket instead of side, with more of a false bottom for protection, a better strap management system to keep them from dangling, and maybe some load lifters on the backpack straps for added comfort. Overall I love this bag and ca n't wait to travel with it!

Using it as a back pack is very hard because the straps are not adjustable. This is the main low point. 2. After one year, the metal parts started corroding. This is obviously not great, but the product warranty has addressed it. So no worries there

I am able to get everything I need in the bag for a weekend and/or five- day trip. It is comfortable to carry and doesn ’ t feel too big. I mostly carry it by the handles because I also travel with a 20L backpack. The only con about the bag is the tote handles. The magnets are not strong at all and barely hold together. But this is minor and not a deal breaker since the bag has so many other great features. I would recommend the duffel bag. The sage is a beautiful color.
