I was able to comfortably wear and be active in a size small without feeling like the pants were too tight. You can bend and move freely in this pant. The fabric is also a breathable fabric and isn ’ t suffocating like some sport, versatile style pants. Great quality and soft. Just know this is loose baggy fit and you may have to size down. My son is 17, 5 ’ 11 ” and is about 160 pounds. Long legs and arms! So I would say he needed a medium but he ended up telling me he had “ too many baggy sweats ” so I recommend based on quality and style and I know these sweats will last because we have bought these type of pants before!
