They will melt on you if you leave them in your hot trunk or hot bag. BUT.... They do hold up well to multiple catches per bait. I like Gulp because they are always in my box and I do n't waste an hour getting live bait. When fish are biting they are actually better than live shrimp because they stay on the hook longer and are not bitten off. You can also cast them further without them flying off like live shrimp often do. But honistly they are not quite as good as live shrimp when the bite is off, when the fishing is slow. But all in all I love these things and use them more often than live shrimp because they work most of the time and sometimes even better than live bait.

The 2 1/2 '' in crawdad color catches fish! Tried the larger size and could n't even get a bite. They are a little thin though. Be nicer if the plastic was just a bit thicker. Including pic of a 4 1/2lber I caught in December at a local pond.
