This might be one of the best fleece hoodies I have ever warn. It is extremely comfortable and warm, but not to hot. It's a great layer for lounging around in or supporting you on and adventure. It works well on it's own or as a layering piece under a shell or jacket. It look nice enough to for casual things around town too.

Things that could make it better: Thumb Loops/thin stretchy material at the end of the sleeves, like they have with the first tracks down jacket. Maybe a loop or hole near the neck gaiter area to store sunglasses when not on your face( one of the drawbacks of all pieces with the neck gaiter style). The front chest pocket ripstop is kinda loud(?) when brushed against. Not a huge deal just an inference. Things I love: the warmth, it's surprisingly warm. Pair it with a waterproof shell and you should be good in most places. The fit( subjective), I am usually in between sizes and sized up- it fits exactly how I expect/want, I 'd say true to size. I actually like the small hood, also subjective, but this will stay on my head without a helmet for just wearing casually which is what I wear it for. Probably too small for wearing with a helmet if riding. And a couple really cool features that I never knew I needed: The adjustable cinch at the bottom of the piece allows you to taper/close the bottom towards the hips. One issue I have with 99% of every fleece I 've had is the fabric kinda `` floats out '' towards this hip area when wearing, and makes you look larger than you actually are. This is a great solution for that, so it makes fits quite a bit better with this cinch feature. Another is the pocket- ception, the secret stash pocket within the kangaroo pocket is a sneaky place to store small items. Who does n't love a good stash pocket? Love the print, something other than just one color. I 've been wearing it the last few days and want to wear it all the time, it's extremely comfortable. I imagine I will be grabbing this piece more often than most others in my closet this winter. Very happy with this purchase.

Really like this thing!! Great mid layer for snowboarding. Or just a nice hoody to wear around. I 'm 5'11, 160 and I went with a large- I like the more baggy fit and have longer arms so it fit how I wanted! Medium also fit me but was just a little bit smaller/ not the level of baggy I wanted.

I 've had this for two winters now and it's a great insulating layer. I prefer fleece when active for the breathability. This one is thick enough as an outer when there's no wind. Excellent design, with two chest pockets and a kangaroo/hand warmer pocket. Since it's a pullover, field repair is much simpler than a jacket, since it's usually the zipper. But with this pullover being so well built, probably wo n't be needed until you 've had it a while or put it to very hard use.

This is a very practical pullover with the large front zippered pocket. I have two of these and they are my favorite tops for fall and winter. Hopefully, this style will continue to be marketed with additional patterns/colors.

Love the unique kangaroo pouch for travel and photography! So useful for travel documents, phone, power bank, etc. Great for chilly long haul flights, as well as an insulation layer underneath puff jacket.. Would have given 5- stars, but for fine- toothed zipper catching and jamming after six months( needs bigger zipper), and wrist hem decoupling from sleeve, frequently pulling it over watch( elastic would be an improvement).

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] My favorite casual hooded fleece. I am not a fan of half zips so a full pull over is what I target. They got it right with this one. Easy to wash and dry without issues of shrinking.

Bought this because I have a Microchill 1/4 zip that is super light weight, but very warm, and I thought it would be great to have it with a hood. Not quite what I expected, it seems to be a heavier weight fleece than what I expected it to be more like a macrochill. Do n't get me wrong, still a great piece just not what I expected. Definitely more of a casual piece, than highly technical. Nice, oversized hood, very warm, soft, and cozy. And the spore die, tie die look is awesome.
When selecting a mountain sweatshirt, consider features such as moisture-wicking capabilities, insulation, and breathability. Look for options with adjustable hoods and cuffs for a customizable fit. Additionally, consider the weight of the fabric, as lighter materials are often better for layering.
Mountain sweatshirts are typically made from materials like fleece, polyester, and nylon blends. Fleece provides warmth and comfort, while polyester offers durability and moisture management. Some sweatshirts may also incorporate technical fabrics designed for enhanced performance in outdoor conditions.
Yes, mountain sweatshirts are designed to be versatile for different weather conditions. Many options offer features like water resistance or windproofing, making them suitable for light rain or windy days. However, it's important to layer appropriately based on the specific climate and activity.
Mountain sweatshirts are ideal for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, climbing, and skiing. Their design typically allows for ease of movement and comfort during physical exertion. Additionally, they can serve as a cozy layer for casual wear or lounging after an active day.
Choosing the right fit for a mountain sweatshirt involves considering both your body type and intended use. For layering, a slightly looser fit may be beneficial, while a more fitted style can provide better insulation. Always check sizing guides and consider trying on different styles to find what feels most comfortable.
