The elastic waistband and drawstring in front helps to create a comfortable and secure fit. There are 2 large pockets in the front and 3 pockets in the back. There is a zippered pocket in bring the right back pocket to secure your valuables. The shorts are also UPF 50+ protection which iss big plus for me since i live in Florida.
