[ I could go on and on about this whole line from Smartwool. It's their best thing in a very long time and I 've been a fan for years. The material is very soft, has a great but comfortable fit. These bottoms also have a nice wide and sturdy waste band so there is no bunching or other uncomfortable nonsense in that area. These are very warm, so perfect under a shell pant or bib for alpine skiing, but I do n't think I would wear them on a tour.

My only issue is for short women, they may be a bit long! These are definitely a `` different '' pair to add to your collection but as previously stated, watch for your length. I was on the hunt for leggings that were( a) seamless and( b) made from mostly recycled materials. I 'm overall happy with my purchase and will be keeping them! But I have a couple notes. One thing is that, even though they are seamless in the front like I wanted, there's a faux seam that appears on the outside of the leggings( but not on the inside). I do n't mind this and it does n't make them fit differently than a truly seamless legging, but I did n't realize this when I was looking at the product photos. A second note is that these are short on me; at 5'11 '', they fit like a 7/8 rather than a full length legging. Again, I do n't really mind, but just something to know. Lastly, these were tricky to get on; I had to treat them like tights when I was putting them on to avoid ripping them. According to the size chart I 'm solidly a size L, and they do feel super comfy once I 've got them on, but it was a struggle. So if you 're on the high end of the size chart I 'd go up a size.

I love the way these pants feel and look. I recently bike commuted in them in the rain and unexpectedly they did great shedding water, they barely got wet at all. I love the stretchy waistband and overall fit. Being a little taller, they bottoms are a few inches above my ankles but that's fine if you 're looking for that. I would love an identical option that extended another 6 '' or so and in a few more fun colors. I 'm about 5' 7 '' and 133# and a size S was just right to avoid a baggy look that still moved well. I always seem to fall somewhere between an OR size S and M for bottoms, though.

I LOVE these pants. I bought a pair 6 months ago and am buying more in case OR ever gets rid of them. I 've tried the OG ferrosi climbing pants& the ferrosi leggings, but these are my favorite. I climb in them frequently and they hold up on wide cracks and sharp crystals. They look great and are so comfortable. I love that they are slightly cropped& tapered so they stay out of the way when climbing. I 'm 5' 4, 130lbs,& typically a size 4,& the size small fits perfect. I will buy these pants over& over again.

I recently took a skid on a downhill abrasive, pebbly hike and thought `` this is end of these pants ''. I was wrong- they were n't at all damaged and the rock dust just brushed off. I would love to see some more colors in muted tones- gray, drab olive green, etc. The khaki color goes with most color tops, but the green is an evergreen color that does n't go with most of my wardrobe, just the black and white tops. I dress in dull colors that do n't show travel wear.
