It actually feels cooler than the REI Sahara hoodie by 2- 3C, even though they 're both the same weight. I think this shirt has better thermal conductivity. It also absorbs sweat faster which helps increase evaporation. You can check by dunking both shirts into a tub of water. I felt much more comfortable with this in 30- 40C temperatures with high humidity. I can feel the difference under a helmet. It's more stretchy, and greater horizontally compared to vertically so you have to be careful not to stretch it too far in order to keep it's UPF protection so I wear a loose fitting size. The fabric is n't as durable as the REI Sahara, as it has more pilling after a few months of wearing 2- 3 days a week. The wrists seem to be more stained. It has more facial coverage along the neck and side cheeks near the ear because it has a smaller opening for the face. It's a round opening so it sits fairly symmetrical compared to the REI Sahara which has an overlapping stitch at the neck that causes the hood to twist to one side. It does n't have a drawstring but since the opening is smaller, the wind does n't really blow it off, unlike the REI Sahara which needs it's drawstring to be cinched to resist the wind. I wear the echo line of active wear when I 'm working out of fishing. The level of cool I get from wearing the ActiveIce appearal is unlike anything I 've tried before. It keeps me cool and I 'm not sweating as much as I do with the echo fabric. It does come with the trade off of being a bit heavier than the echo and not as breathable feeling since it's a thicker fabric. I will choose to wear the echo fabric when it's a cooler day doing a lot of activity and the ActiveIce fabric when it's really sunny and warm.

[ I got this hoodie recently when the weather has been at its hottest, so I was n't sure I 'd be able to accurately assess it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that while it would work as a nice layer to keep warm in the colder seasons, it's also is a very comfortable and breathable layer for summer. It also fits true to size which not a lot of these types of sweatshirts do. For big guys like me these zip- up hoodies can easy be a little too short for my height or a little tight for my shoulders or a little narrow in the midsection. This one, though, as an XL fit perfectly and was way more flattering than I 'd expected. All in all this is a great item and it exceeded expectations. I 'd definitely recommend it.

[ I really liked the feel of this jacket. It is very lightweight, and the waffle knit type texture is thin yet will be thick enough for the majority of the year. I usually find that lightweight jackets are too loose or get stretched out too easily due to the thin material. That is not a problem that I have found with this jacket, the textured material gives it quite a bit of structure without adding any bulkiness. My favorite part of this jacket is that it has thumb holes, my hands tend to get cold so this is an added bonus that I can keep my hands covered without tucking them inside the sleeves. The only thing I would change about this jacket is the hood shape, it has a high zip to the top of the neck where the opening would be for the face. I am personally not a fan of the zipper being right below my chin, but this does not affect how I wear the jacket because I will typically not wear a hood with this type of lightweight jacket. I have been wearing this while it has been hot and I really like the Dri- Fit material, it keeps my skin feeling dry at all times. I was surprised to see that this jacket was made with at least 75% recycled fibers, I am trying to reduce my own waste and love to see companies moving towards the same goals I hold.

I have been wearing different versions of this jacket since 1999!!! The combination of being windproof with just a little insulation is PERFECT for so many activities! Because the outer material isn ’ t really connected to the inside, the jacket has an unexpected loftiness,& is WAY warmer than you ’ d think it would be…but at the same time doesn ’ t get too hot??? There was one version( windshirt) that even had small perforations in the armpits which was AWESOME. I live in Colorado,& I wear this piece for everything from an outer layer on cold spring and fall days, to a mid layer for low output activities. I even used to use one for snowboarding. To combine a super lightweight windbreaker and super soft micro- fleece liner, with close wrist ends and synchable waist plus three zippered pockets is genius I think. Great mid layer- wool makes it warmer than just fleece, but thanks to fleece it is soft and comfortable. I like that outside of hoodie is not like traditional fleece that is fluffy and always gets rolled in balls. Instead Keb Fleece hoodie looks smooth and is fleece and soft on the inside. This is my 3rd Keb Fleece hoodie since year 2019. Fjallraven have changed model design now 3 times and I am glad to see that it keeps evolving into better and better product. So what is new in this one compared to older models?- Cuffs now are from same material as hoodie. Previous stretchy material got worn out quite fast and lost its screechiness. With this model there is nothing that would wear out or stretch. So big improvement in longterm.- Two way zipper is comfortable when sitting down- hoodie is quite long and it bunches up in waist area, but if zipper is open then it is quite comfortable. I read from other comments that sizing has been difficult- same here. I used to have previous two models size L, but after checking with sizing table I can see that now at 2025 I should choose M size. Accordingly I bought size M and it fits well on my tall 189 cm slim frame. Note that if compared to previous model this new M size is 2 cm longer at waist than previous L size! I assume that this is from where complaints about big bulge on waist area comes from- if one would take size that previously fitted well then now it would be too big, so word of caution- use sizing table! Since this is my 3rd hoodie I can say that these are quite qualitative products and wear good. I needed 6 years to stretch and get wear signs on my 2019 hoodie. 2nd one is still looking good and I only bought this 3rd to replace first one.

Aside from the vida pro trousers I think this is a perfect investment for winter hikes and bushcraft. I wore this on a winter hike in the cold wet north woods and it kept me warm and was highly functional. I wore it paired with a merino wool long sleeve and it worked like a charm. My only complaint is that they don ’ t have other colors in the size of mine. I would purchase more. If you see other reviews on this talking about the improved fit. I ’ m a larger guy, 6 ’ 4, 250lbs aside from hiking, eating is another favorite hobby of mine and this fleece fits me perfectly and is form fitting well. There once was a time I was cold. Not anymore though.

I bought this fleece 2 winters ago and I loved it but it was too tight around the arms and chest. I pretty much had to use it as a base layer as even a shirt made it uncomfortably tight. I 'm a large in everything, XL is too big. I saw online `` improved fit '' so I stopped in at a store in Cambridge, MA and tried it on and was super happy about the fit. It's now a mid- layer like it's supposed to be. I 'm very happy as I had to give my other one away to my nephew.

Really like this thing!! Great mid layer for snowboarding. Or just a nice hoody to wear around. I 'm 5'11, 160 and I went with a large- I like the more baggy fit and have longer arms so it fit how I wanted! Medium also fit me but was just a little bit smaller/ not the level of baggy I wanted.

Things that could make it better: Thumb Loops/thin stretchy material at the end of the sleeves, like they have with the first tracks down jacket. Maybe a loop or hole near the neck gaiter area to store sunglasses when not on your face( one of the drawbacks of all pieces with the neck gaiter style). The front chest pocket ripstop is kinda loud(?) when brushed against. Not a huge deal just an inference. Things I love: the warmth, it's surprisingly warm. Pair it with a waterproof shell and you should be good in most places. The fit( subjective), I am usually in between sizes and sized up- it fits exactly how I expect/want, I 'd say true to size. I actually like the small hood, also subjective, but this will stay on my head without a helmet for just wearing casually which is what I wear it for. Probably too small for wearing with a helmet if riding. And a couple really cool features that I never knew I needed: The adjustable cinch at the bottom of the piece allows you to taper/close the bottom towards the hips. One issue I have with 99% of every fleece I 've had is the fabric kinda `` floats out '' towards this hip area when wearing, and makes you look larger than you actually are. This is a great solution for that, so it makes fits quite a bit better with this cinch feature. Another is the pocket- ception, the secret stash pocket within the kangaroo pocket is a sneaky place to store small items. Who does n't love a good stash pocket? Love the print, something other than just one color. I 've been wearing it the last few days and want to wear it all the time, it's extremely comfortable. I imagine I will be grabbing this piece more often than most others in my closet this winter. Very happy with this purchase.

Pretty snazzy hoodie to be honest with you. It's light weight, moderately warm( even warmer when being active), and looks good. The hoodie does look a little boxy/bulky, but that does n't bother me. The camo print is really nice too, it does n't give off tacti- cool bro vibes. The one slight downside I will say is that the material is noisy, so be aware of that.
