The original I owned was in the Chocolate color( IYKYK) had that one for about 10- 15 years. I was looking to get that again, but I 'm happy with the black. I 'd wear it all the time if I could, but it would n't improve my social awkwardness. Buy with confidence, knowing that this jacket will serve you very well! I ’ ve been using this jacket for the past 8 months and it ’s been extremely reliable in a variety of different conditions. Walking in sub zero temps, I found I was constantly undoing or taking off layers when using an insulated jacket, becoming sweaty and uncomfortable, but winter walking in the Skogsko I found it to be breathable and pleasant keeping me at a constant temperature. Once you stop, throwing on an insulated layer or hard shell will take care of the cooling down issue. Because of the fit( medium) and it ’s stylish cut, you get only compliments when out and about, but the quality if it ’s manufacture and rock solid construction means it ’s practically bulletproof and can be used in all sorts of work/outdoor scenarios. I ’ ve been using it more and more on the farm and for forestry work, as you can brush up and rub against tough bark or metal fencing or briars without so much as a scratch on the material, especially if it ’s been waxed a couple of times, and once it ’s waxed it becomes very tough and durable with a patina ’ d look which adds to its appeal. Worn under my Hoggs waterproof, this jacket becomes a completely wind proof, waterproof system- it can be blowing 60 mph and you just will not feel a thing- absolutely no warmth escaping from anywhere. I must mention that the construction, build, stitching and overall quality seems to be superior to the insulated version of this jacket, so I ’ d recommend buying a size larger and layering accordingly for winter, as this jacket just gets better with age. Out of all my outdoor clothing purchases in the last two years this has been my favourite, most useful, and will continue to provide reliable functionality for years to come.

I had second thoughts at first about the jacket because I was concerend about the slightly snug fit. I 'm about 185lbs and 6 ft tall with the medium size being snug but not uncomfortable at all. I just wondered about wearing layers witht he jacket. The arm length is perfect for me and the large size would be too long in the arms. I almost throught to return it to other options but realized this size is really perfect as is after wearing it on a few outings. I am 5' 6 '' and a large was a good fit for me, especially for arm length. I am a little concerned about longevity because of how light weight it is, but time will tell on that. It actually feels cooler than the REI Sahara hoodie by 2- 3C, even though they 're both the same weight. I think this shirt has better thermal conductivity. It also absorbs sweat faster which helps increase evaporation. You can check by dunking both shirts into a tub of water. I felt much more comfortable with this in 30- 40C temperatures with high humidity. I can feel the difference under a helmet. It's more stretchy, and greater horizontally compared to vertically so you have to be careful not to stretch it too far in order to keep it's UPF protection so I wear a loose fitting size. The fabric is n't as durable as the REI Sahara, as it has more pilling after a few months of wearing 2- 3 days a week. The wrists seem to be more stained. It has more facial coverage along the neck and side cheeks near the ear because it has a smaller opening for the face. It's a round opening so it sits fairly symmetrical compared to the REI Sahara which has an overlapping stitch at the neck that causes the hood to twist to one side. It does n't have a drawstring but since the opening is smaller, the wind does n't really blow it off, unlike the REI Sahara which needs it's drawstring to be cinched to resist the wind. The only benefit of the REI Sahara is possibly greater sun protection from the side rear angle due to how the hood drapes, but less protection from the side front angle; cheaper price; higher durability.

I wear the echo line of active wear when I 'm working out of fishing. The level of cool I get from wearing the ActiveIce appearal is unlike anything I 've tried before. It keeps me cool and I 'm not sweating as much as I do with the echo fabric. It does come with the trade off of being a bit heavier than the echo and not as breathable feeling since it's a thicker fabric. I will choose to wear the echo fabric when it's a cooler day doing a lot of activity and the ActiveIce fabric when it's really sunny and warm.

Great mid layer- wool makes it warmer than just fleece, but thanks to fleece it is soft and comfortable. I like that outside of hoodie is not like traditional fleece that is fluffy and always gets rolled in balls. Instead Keb Fleece hoodie looks smooth and is fleece and soft on the inside. This is my 3rd Keb Fleece hoodie since year 2019. Fjallraven have changed model design now 3 times and I am glad to see that it keeps evolving into better and better product. So what is new in this one compared to older models?- Cuffs now are from same material as hoodie. Previous stretchy material got worn out quite fast and lost its screechiness. With this model there is nothing that would wear out or stretch. So big improvement in longterm.- Two way zipper is comfortable when sitting down- hoodie is quite long and it bunches up in waist area, but if zipper is open then it is quite comfortable. I read from other comments that sizing has been difficult- same here. I used to have previous two models size L, but after checking with sizing table I can see that now at 2025 I should choose M size. Accordingly I bought size M and it fits well on my tall 189 cm slim frame. Note that if compared to previous model this new M size is 2 cm longer at waist than previous L size! I assume that this is from where complaints about big bulge on waist area comes from- if one would take size that previously fitted well then now it would be too big, so word of caution- use sizing table! Since this is my 3rd hoodie I can say that these are quite qualitative products and wear good. I needed 6 years to stretch and get wear signs on my 2019 hoodie. 2nd one is still looking good and I only bought this 3rd to replace first one.

Aside from the vida pro trousers I think this is a perfect investment for winter hikes and bushcraft. I wore this on a winter hike in the cold wet north woods and it kept me warm and was highly functional. I wore it paired with a merino wool long sleeve and it worked like a charm. My only complaint is that they don ’ t have other colors in the size of mine. I would purchase more. If you see other reviews on this talking about the improved fit. I ’ m a larger guy, 6 ’ 4, 250lbs aside from hiking, eating is another favorite hobby of mine and this fleece fits me perfectly and is form fitting well. There once was a time I was cold. Not anymore though.

I bought this fleece 2 winters ago and I loved it but it was too tight around the arms and chest. I pretty much had to use it as a base layer as even a shirt made it uncomfortably tight. I 'm a large in everything, XL is too big. I saw online `` improved fit '' so I stopped in at a store in Cambridge, MA and tried it on and was super happy about the fit. It's now a mid- layer like it's supposed to be. I 'm very happy as I had to give my other one away to my nephew.

My cooper colored Summit Grid has become my go- to mid- layer for colder days. The fit is roomy enough to wear over a base layer, and snug enough to wear under a parka or light- weight down. Feels nice and unrestrictive to climb in, and soooo comfortable. I do n't leave home without it!

Awesome Hoodie! I 've had other brands in this style but this one wins for fit and the zipper is a huge plus that many others do n't have. The hood is the perfect size. The only thing that would kick it up a notch is thumb holes, but for me that is minor.

[ I bought this about 3 weeks ago and it was just what I wanted especially for the wilderness canoe camping trips to Ontario, Canada I take. It's very warm, warmer than I expected for so light a garment. Having the 1/2 zip neck is perfect to adapt to wind or temperature. My only suggestion to improve this hoodie is zip closures on the kangaroo pouch sides. I just would n't want to lose something stored in there. Gret item, glad I bought!

This jacket is exactly what I needed for Colorado's winter. Keeps me very warm without any layering though with layering warmth will obviously be increased. I would totally recommend if you are into snow sports or like being toasty during winter. Being able to pack this jacket up is another plus for me so it's always convenient to either leave in the drawer when stowed or have it hung up on the coat rack. This is the jacket I will reach for when the temps drop around the 30s.

As someone in the ski industry, finding the right pieces for my kits are absolutely essential. As a South Florida resident for the past 48 years, I do n't find myself needing a heavy winter coat often. But this year, we were traveling to NY in early February, so my layered sweaters and sweatshirts were not going to cut it. I had an old( 15 years,...) winter ski jacket, that must have weighed 20 pounds, not ideal for travel. I asked around and was told Northface is the way to go for a lightweight winter jacket, for extreme temps. I went online, looked at the various styles and colors, and went with the Terra Peak Hoodie. I could not believe how light it was, and could not understand how this could keep me warm. Well, I soon found out what a great purchase I had made. Temperatures were in the 20's with strong winds, and I was toasty as can be. The hood is perfect for keeping the wind out and I quickly realized that I did not need to wear various layers underneath, becasue the jacket kept me warm. Additionally, it is so light and compact for travel, I was able to stick it in my carry- on bag with no problem. We are going to Iceland later in the year, and I am ready!

Really like this thing!! Great mid layer for snowboarding. Or just a nice hoody to wear around. I 'm 5'11, 160 and I went with a large- I like the more baggy fit and have longer arms so it fit how I wanted! Medium also fit me but was just a little bit smaller/ not the level of baggy I wanted.

Things that could make it better: Thumb Loops/thin stretchy material at the end of the sleeves, like they have with the first tracks down jacket. Maybe a loop or hole near the neck gaiter area to store sunglasses when not on your face( one of the drawbacks of all pieces with the neck gaiter style). The front chest pocket ripstop is kinda loud(?) when brushed against. Not a huge deal just an inference. Things I love: the warmth, it's surprisingly warm. Pair it with a waterproof shell and you should be good in most places. The fit( subjective), I am usually in between sizes and sized up- it fits exactly how I expect/want, I 'd say true to size. I actually like the small hood, also subjective, but this will stay on my head without a helmet for just wearing casually which is what I wear it for. Probably too small for wearing with a helmet if riding. And a couple really cool features that I never knew I needed: The adjustable cinch at the bottom of the piece allows you to taper/close the bottom towards the hips. One issue I have with 99% of every fleece I 've had is the fabric kinda `` floats out '' towards this hip area when wearing, and makes you look larger than you actually are. This is a great solution for that, so it makes fits quite a bit better with this cinch feature. Another is the pocket- ception, the secret stash pocket within the kangaroo pocket is a sneaky place to store small items. Who does n't love a good stash pocket? Love the print, something other than just one color. I 've been wearing it the last few days and want to wear it all the time, it's extremely comfortable. I imagine I will be grabbing this piece more often than most others in my closet this winter. Very happy with this purchase.
