We experienced some unusually cold weather right after I received the shirt and it really came in handy while I was watching football in my basement “ man cave@, where it ’s always cooler than the rest of the. The fabric and feel were better than the last flannel shirts I ‘ ve worn. The sizing was right on( medium in my case). This winter plaid button up is fantastic. It looks like a traditional plaid, but it's so much better. The fabric is beyond soft and is very comfortable. The tag says that it is moisture wicking and even though I have n't sweat in it, it does dry quickly when I wash it. The fabric does have some stretch to it so that makes it even more comfortable if you are an active person and always on the move. The shirt also has UV protection, which is a pretty good feature even though it's winter it is good to have UV protection. The tag on the shirt also said the fabric is anti- odor and so far I have not noticed any odors. My only wish is that they made more color options of this shirt. Shirt does not wrinkle and has held up great after multiple washes.

I work for the Depart of Food& Ag and spend most of my day in the field surveying& inspecting insect traps. This shirt with the extra pockets near the waste is amazing. Easy click buttons are nice, BUT, they have unspaped a few times if the shirt gets caught on something. I suppose I would rather have the shirt buttons un- latch than have the shirt itself tear. It's also nice that the UPF is strong. Another complaint is that is holds wrickles a bit well. However, all n all, it's a great shirt o highly recommend.

I am a staunch supporter of Columbia Sportswear for the Tamiami and Super Tamiami Long Sleeve Shirts. I love how light they are. They are so light- I no longer wear cotton T Shirts in summer. Not only T Shirts but Polo Shirts too. This long sleeve shirt is lighter and offers amazing sun protection. It's a short sleeve shirt( roll uo loops) It's a functional fishing shirt- quick drying- lots of pockets. It's a great summer shirt because its sooo light and quick drying. It can go from a hike/ walk to market. It's an excellent traveling shirt- wrinkle resistant and quick drying. I have actually gone swimming and thrown the shirt on without towel drying and the shirt dries amazingly fast. And to those who think this shirt is too expensive- This shirt is like kevlar- indestructible. I have nearly 20 shirts( I had a weight loss and had to drop a size)- and not one has made it to the rag pile. The only casualty was a spark from the s'mores fire melted a hole. They still look great. I ca n't remember my first, but it's at least 8 years. Worth every penny.

Very well made flannel. It feels like thick vintage flannel from your Dad. Thinker than North Face Arroyo flannels. Reading other reviews, the size recommendations are all over the place… stick true to size. I am 6 ’ 0 ”, 170 lb with long armed canoeing/running build and bought a large in this( and wear a large across North Face and other brands of flannels). This Valley Twill fits very similar to the North Face Arroyo flannel… except this Valley Twill is about 1 ” shorter in the body. Compared to other flannels that I own this is slightly shorter in body… but everything else accurate. The Pike ’s Purple flannel color looks great and was half- off on Dick ’s website. Great value for thick flannel. Recommended.

Recently purchased this shirt at a local outdoor shop. Probably the best fitting shirt I own. At 5'11, 180lbs, I typically fall right in between medium and large for most brands. Medium tends to be on the verge of too tight and large tends to be baggy. The Ovik twill in medium is a perfect fit. Exactly right across the shoulders, perfect length, and does n't billow around the waist. Quality is top notch.

I 'm 5' 7 '', 155 lbs, and fit some medium and some large according to how they are cut. This shirt was just a touch broad in the shoulders and very long in the sleeves and tail. [ What a great shirt! In receiving the shirt the color was bright but for the primary use it ’s helpful to make sure you ’ re seen when outside and possibly running on roadways. I got the orange color and it ’s vibrant. The shirt isn ’ t the softest and isn ’ t made of a thicker cloth weight but does have a good feel when wearing. I got a Medium size and the fit of the garment is more fitted and would need to size up if wanting more room. I was able to move without feeling restricted or the shirt pulling as I run or workout. I don ’ t know that I ’ ll use them much as the shirt isn ’ t going to provide a ton of warmth but it does have thumb holes to help in keeping your hands warm when cooler. It will be nice during warmer months as it breathes well and isn ’ t heavy to wear. Washing and after doing so the shirt still looks and feels the same as brand new. Still early to determine if it will stand up to further wear but so far so good. Really excited about the High Point long sleeve and looking to get some more!
