The hood is a good size and has a brim, which I really like. I can typically wear a size small but like to get rain jackets in medium so that I can layer under. I only wish that it was a little bit longer but, as this was a warranty replacement for another raincoat, and it was on sale, I 'm happy with the jacket.

First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just bought this jacket and love it. I went skiing this past weekend on a pretty warm day, 40- 50 degrees. Just a t shirt and the jacket kept me perfectly comfortable, so it ’s not too warm on its own. And I fell in the slushy snow many times and it kept me dry all day! Seems to run pretty big, I ’ m 6 ’ 2 ” 230lbs and it has long sleeves and lots of room for layering. That ’s what I was looking for so no complaints from me. Definitely happy with my purchase.

Everything about the jacket is rugged and high quality. The stitching and was perfect and the large tooth YKK zippers were smooth with no snags. Fit is good but on the slimmer side( in a good way). You can layer a sweatshirt and puff vest but that ’s about it. If you need more, size up. Unfortunately I had to return the jacket due to the antler color being very pink. No other colors were available in my size so I had to go with the thermograph jacket, which is also very good.

Hood works well with a helmet, but hood could be a bit bigger. The hand- warmer inner cuffs are good, but can wick up water during heavy rain. I love that various features in the jacket( such as the `` Glove Link '' are in a contrasting colour and labelled so that you do n't have to guess their uses. I 'm 5' 2 100lbs and usually wear an XS and this jacket fits me well with extra room for layering. I love the Turtle Dove color as it is a creamy/vanilla shade that pairs well with any snow pant color. Amazing features- snow skirt, thumb cut outs, water proof and wind proof, zippers up to my chin, well insulated, and, multiple pockets. This jacket is one of the best quality ski jackets on the market now. I would say it's comparable to Helly Hansen's Alphelia jacket in terms of fit and features but for a lower price point. It even has a similar fit to the Arc'teryx jackets if you cinch the waistline in and tuck it. You can get away with wearing no layers underneath this jacket in 30F weather. I 've already gotten many compliments and will be wearing this to back to back ski trips in Vermont and Colorado! I agree with other reviews that a snow helmet can not fit underneath the hood, but that is NOT a con for me as wearing a hood while skiing usually obstructs my view anyway.

This jacket is so comfortable and warm. I bought it for skiing and I love it. The material is soft. I like how it zips up high to keep my neck warm while still leaving room to wear a neck gaiter. I also love the inside sleeves that fit over my thumbs. They fit great under my mittens and provided extra warmth. I found my usual size a bit small, but the next size up fit perfectly. I ’ m not sure if it ’s completely waterproof, but it ’s at least water resistant. If you want a warm, nice looking, comfortable ski jacket, I would highly recommend it!

happy with this jacket. i used at mt Bachelor for four days. it was cold week but i never got cold, in fact i had to open vents. i 'm 6' 1 '' and its very comfortable fit. hood its true helmet compatible. main zipper sometimes was stubborn but manageable. i would improve the top of inside part of zipper where Gore- Tex material is touching your face/ mouth when hood is over the helmet by putting softer cloth material, maybe even this piece could be removable for often cleaning. overall good jacket.

I live in the NWT, Canada where temperatures can reach as low as- 50C. more often than not i find myself reaching for this jacket( layering during colder temperatures) for most of my winter activities! [ I bought this coat in boysenberry after Chicago got hit with lots of snow and below zero temperatures. As I was out shoveling, I discovered the designer winter coat I bought from a big department store was NOT waterproof. Unfortunately, I weigh 274, so finding a coat is n't easy. After researching, I decided to try this one even though it is over$ 300. It fits great( it is n't loose, but it is comfortable and I can sit with it zipped)! It also is not puffy, so there is no added bulk. The sleeves are nice in that they are not too short and I can tighten them at the wrist with the Velcro. I also love the chest pocket-- I put my phone in there and can listen to a podcast as I walk my dog. Well worth the money!

These bibs were fantastic for my snowboarding trip in Breckenridge. These bibs were extra flexible and did n't make me feel as constrained as other bibs have. They fit well and were very comfortable for riding from first chair to last. We ended up having a pretty wide range of temperatures from 40 to- 10. The vents did a great job of keeping me cool on the warmer days, and I only had to add a single layer of thermal underwear( top and bottom) to be comfortable on the- 10 days!

So far, so good! Living right outside the Middlesex Fells, the weather can be incredibly variable year round, and this jacket handles the rain and wind well. I 've found this jacket has managed to keep me warm when it's cold out, but also not overheat me in the event the sun is out because of how light the jacket is. The vents also help a lot with that, too. Definitely recommend!

OR has continued to impress, this true to size( large) fit perfect with room for insulated layer. Light weight, soft fabric that keeps me dry. Limited pockets which is expected in a light weight jacket, it has your two hand pockets and two exterior access chest pocket for your phone, etc. Highly recommend this jacket. But personally, it is somewhat of a heavy jacket for rainy warm weather. I loved it today in zero temps with a thin fleece hoody and wool shirt on underneath. I was a little concerned about how the stiff, tall collar would feel on my face, but it was great coverage and roomy enough so my neck gator fit underneath it just fine. I sized up in this jacket because I need to layer and went with XL which meant it was fairly long and covered my bum, but still surprisingly close fitting around the hips which is common for me in OR tops. It is a great weight for cold backcountry ski days, lighter than my older OR Skytour shell but heavier than the Motive. I am posting a photo. Love the color too. In the photo I also have on the insulated Snowcrew ski pants which were toasty on this bitter cold day!

[ I 'm quite impressed with this jacket so far. It does fit a smidge big for a large but I like that because I can wear a nice heavy sweatshirt under it and still have room to be active. It has nice big pockets that you can stick a gloved hand in with ease and it covers you very well when fully zipped up. So far( I 've had it about 3 weeks) everything has been up to my standards and I truly love this jacket. It's very comfortable. Zippers seem to be great quality and it seems like a lot of thought went into it when making it. It was about 15 degrees f yesterday and I was standing on a frozen lake for about 8 hours. Pretty hard cross wind and I was warm as could be with only a t- shirt and sweatshirt under it. I highly recommend this coat for anyone looking for a nice warm coat.
