[ I bought this for a trip to Yellowstone national park. The color is a bit different from the photo in natural light. Less coral/orangish as I expected. A bit darker and a bit more pinkish. But it's still really pretty and of course warm and cozy as the other Smartwool 250 I owned.

Super comfortable first wear while on a 2 day backpacking trip. It made a great base layer and then when temps when up it was nice on its own. And a layer of sun protection with long sleeves! Odor control was evident, but control being the key word-- definitely not absent. I recommend this shirt and look forward to using again on the next hike and for my trip to the Tetons next month( as well as trying as a base layer for snow skiing!).

[ For reference, I purchased a Medium. I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ”, 128 pounds, pear shaped, so, smaller on top, curvier on bottom. I got the black which is opaque. I wear this baselayer weight for cross country skiing when it ’s above 30 degrees or so. Smartwool varies in size for me, these are not extremely fitted like some of the 1/4 zips so go with your normal size.

[ I love this shirt. I recently got another few to fill up my wardrobe after a move from AZ to OR. I have had the originals for almost 9 years and wear them all winter long. I have been hiking, backpacking, and traveling with them and they have withstood the test of time. They are comfortable alone or as under layer. I additionally regularly wear it as a mid layer with a smartwool tank below. I truly love these shirts. If it helps, I wear an XS and am 5 ’ 2 ’ ’ and 120- 130lbs depending on the year.

The hood fits tight when in use, maybe too tight, we 'll see. after I break it in. It also covers the chin and mouth area when pulled up. It could use a chest pocket. I will be using it during a golf trip toi N Ireland with temps in the 50's and 60' with wind and rain; part of. a layering system I 'm bringing.

I bought the medium but needed a size up as it fits closely. 5' 4, 130#, 34B, curvy on bottom. It was also warmer than I need for cross country skiing so I ultimately return for a lighter weight one. It is as described and nicely made, however. the wine colored one with the dots is super cute.

This is the best mid weight zip neck base layer I ’ ve ever owned. The quality of the fabric is unmatched. I ’ ve never had a Smartwool garment that pilled. It looks good enough to wear as a shirt/sweater. The zipper is first class and the neck doesn ’ t sag. I were it as a base layer skiing all over the IS and Canada, cycling in cold weather, and under a shirt all winter to take the North Atlantic chill of fall through spring. Best of all I can wear it without worrying about the dreaded polyester stink, its stays fresh for ages.
