The comfort of the Fitness Gear 5mm is amazing. My wife has bought more expensive mats that haven ’ t felt this good to her. Will recommend it to everyone. And it ’s a great value!!

Good bye old purple yoga mat, hello blue heaven! GoFit's Pilates Mat is exceptional, and the price for such comfort..... absolutely reasonable- underpriced if anything! I have bought a couple of mats searching for enough cushioning to use on hardwood floors& only got bruises. If you have hardwood floors or any hard surface- you must get this mat, if I could give more stars I would=) The curling issue, not a biggie. Keep the box it comes rolled up in, and reverse roll it. After each use, roll up opposite of last roll and place it back in box. I LOVE THIS, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

If, like me, you have a prominent coccyx( tailbone) and bruise a lot there when doing crunches, pilates, or yoga, this is the most comfortable mat I 've found. It does make for slightly less stability when doing anything that requires standing on a single foot( I just step off the mat for those) but I find the trade off more than worth it. I have had no durability issues, and it is going on 2 years old now. I do alternate the direction in which I roll it to prevent creasing, though that may be unnecessary on my part. Overall a great mat for comfort, and if I wear mine out, I plan to buy the same one again.

Got this to help fight my hardwood floors and not being able to do a few moves without hurting my spine. Thick mat and perfect for anyone practicing pilates. The thin normal yoga mat was just not cutting it and it took me a while to find one like I use in class. This is perfect!

I like it, for the price it is what it's advertised as. A yoga/pilates mat which fits me from head to toe( i 'm 5' 8). It is thicker than most yoga mats which i appreciate. It does slip as i 'm doing some more strenuous exercises, like side planks for example, but not enough to bother me.

I thought the concept of `` yoga in bed '' was a little silly until I got this mat: my sessions come pretty darn close with it, and I get even more out of my workouts. I use this mat mainly for pilates, but have learned to stabilize on its thicker foundation with all of the yoga poses I do often( including all of the warriors and even balancing poses like half moon). The best thing about this mat though, is how it really opens up my yoga/pilates practice by giving me the extra cushioning I need to do things that were literally too hard on my body with a standard yoga/pilates mat( e. g. truely using my abs, rather than guttering over on my perifery, in `` rolling like a ball ''). So if I can set aside a minor uncertainty about being able clean it effectively-- with all its little wrinkles, and maybe even pores-- it's no doubt my favorite.

[ This is a great mat for the price. It keeps me stable in poses, it ’s got the perfect grip, so much better than my old inexpensive one! It ’s a bit on the small and narrow side so if you ’ re tall it might not be for you I ’ m 5 ’ ’ 1 132 lbs and it just fits me

I love this yoga mat. My only complaint is that it's actually 5mm thick. The description says it's 6mm. But the last picture shown you can see that the packaging says it is 5mm, I just did n't notice that when I bought it. I do n't know what's up with that. Other than that I 'm happy with the product. It's super cute and good quality.

I just started yoga twice a week. Mat is light enough when I 'm carrying it. It does n't slip on the floor during class, comfy, my knees do n't hurt. My instructor advised to hand it unrolled for a few days, and that foam smell vanished. I 'm very satisfied.

Good mat. I got the gofit yoga mat pretty quickly which was awesome. It's really comfortable and easy to transport. I enjoy using it.

it is very comfy. I think I could take a nap on it and be fine when I wake up. The only problem I have is that it can get a little slippery when I start to sweat. maybe a little tweak in the top coat could make a slightly more sticky finish.

This is a great mat for a great price. It stays put, the material does n't flake off, it's thick enough but not too thick and my hands and feet do n't slide around. Very comfortable and vibrant colors.
When selecting a soft yoga mat, consider factors such as thickness, material, and texture. A thicker mat often provides more cushioning, which can enhance comfort during poses. Additionally, materials like PVC or TPE can offer different levels of grip and durability, so it's important to choose one that suits your practice style.
Soft yoga mats can be suitable for various styles of yoga, including gentle practices like Hatha and restorative yoga. However, for more vigorous styles such as Ashtanga or Power yoga, you may want to consider a mat with more stability and grip. Ultimately, the choice depends on personal preference and the specific demands of your yoga practice.
The materials used in a soft yoga mat significantly influence its performance, including grip, durability, and comfort. For instance, mats made from natural rubber tend to provide excellent traction, while synthetic materials may offer a softer feel. It's essential to choose a material that aligns with your practice needs and environmental considerations.
The ideal thickness for a soft yoga mat typically ranges from 4mm to 6mm, depending on personal comfort and the type of yoga practiced. Thicker mats provide more cushioning for joints, which can be beneficial for beginners or those with sensitive knees. However, a thinner mat may offer better stability for balance poses.
Yes, a soft yoga mat can be versatile enough for various fitness activities beyond yoga, such as Pilates, stretching, or bodyweight exercises. Its cushioning can provide comfort during floor workouts, but it's important to ensure that the mat offers enough grip and stability for the specific movements involved.
To maintain your soft yoga mat and extend its lifespan, it's advisable to clean it regularly with a gentle soap solution and avoid exposing it to direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Additionally, storing the mat in a cool, dry place can help prevent wear and tear. Following the manufacturer's care instructions can also ensure optimal performance over time.
