I bought these in white in XL and then in black in L. I like pants loose at the waist and need a long rise. I also got the short length, which sit at my instep( 5' 4 ''). The black ones in the L fit better as to the rise and volume of the legs, but I prefer the looser waist on the XL. I wish designers would give up the hourglass myth of women's bodies: If one needs a L for the hips, one probably does not have a 32 '' waist. The drawstring makes these wearable. Both are comfortable, though, and very light. So I will probably wear the black ones out more, and keep wearing the white ones around the house. Very comfortable style and fabric. I find myself wearing these most days in the Florida warm temps. Very nicely made, as well. I marked `` runs small '' because the elastic at the waist, IMO, should be about 2 inches larger. I think this runs true to size, I ordered long torso. The breast support is oddly low. The seam is way past were the ladies lay and mine have nursed 2 babies and hang low. I chose this swimsuit because I saw the ruching on the sides, and even though it is not a “ maternity ” swim suit, it fits my 8 month bump perfect!! I love it. The quality is really nice and thick. I am naturally large chested even pre pregnancy and usually have a hard time with strapless items, but there is reinforcement on the sides that will keep it up. The back of the suit is full coverage, but I still paired it with a cover up to feel more even more covered. It also comes with optional straps to hook on if you ’ d like. I ’ m so happy this will fit post pregnancy too, and the ruching will help disguise any extra lumps or bumps.
