[ I have a couple of these hoodies and I love them for outdoor activity. The material is light enough to wear when it's hot, but just wind- blocking enough to be good for a slight chill. The sun protection is top notch with the thumb- loop sleeves and hood, and the pockets are perfect for whatever small items I need to take on the trail/run. The one downside is that due to the pockets these can be a bit harder to wear under something else.

I took this shirt with me for walking the Camino in the early fall( ~35C on the coast with no shade). I 'm very sensitive to heat( due to both MS and some of my medication), but after soaking this shirt in water, the combination of the quick evaporation and the UV protection was enough to keep me comfortable even at noon. It was great to be able to skip out on sunblock and still not end the day looking like a tomato. Like other reviewers said, it's a little rougher that ideal, but I do have to say, it held up to backpack friction much better than the Abisko wool shirt I took on the same trip and I did* not* get any irritation despite walking all day with a 10- 20kg bag for the first time. Dries very very quickly, which is great when conditions are damp.

I wear one of these almost every day at work in the fall winter and spring. It is comfortable, warm, and breathable. It ’s light weight and very versatile. For me it fits true to size. The thumb loops are very helpful when layering with additional insulating layers and the zipper helps dump heat when you need to. Buy more than one so you don ’ t have to wait for it when it ’s in the wash!

I wear it as a mid layer while skiing. It was perfect when temps were zero to one degree F in the morning and up to low 30s in the afternoon. Layered between base layer and insulated jacket, it was perfect. Not bulky, but still warm. Quality is good, as is typical from OR. I definitely recommend this fleece.

Awesome standalone shirt for running in the mid- 40s to 50s+ Fahrenheit... or layering when colder. Wicks like a champ, very comfortable and soft.( I 'm always cold... any chillier than mid- 40s and I personally need something heavier.) Also sharp enough to wear around the house or running errands. Ended up buying a 2nd one I liked it so much. Have n't run in it yet as it's still too warm out, but have worn both in casual settings and just taking care of things outside on cool mornings. It's fairly thin so thinking it's suited for runs in 32- 45 F range with a t- shirt underneath and a heavier long sleeve under for temps below freezing. If it's helpful, I 'm 5' 8 '' and 150 lbs with medium build and size Small fits just right.
