I started out with the Folly Twill pant and they just looked kind of dumpy on me at 5 ’ 5 ” and curvy. It is also light enough that when washed i do n't need to put it in the dryer, i just hang it to air dry. I bought a pair last year and a 2nd pair just recently in a different color. the only i wish theses pants have are elastic waistband. The recommended use is hiking and when hiking the elastic waist band would 've been more comfortable with all that moving and bending you will do. I bought a pair of these pants about 20 years ago and wore them until recently when the lining started to deteriorate. I have a hard time finding pants long enough for my 33 '' inseam, but these pants are perfect! I 'm 5' 8 '', 140 pounds, with a slim build and the medium fits perfectly. I usually wear long johns or long johns plus another pair of warm pants under these and there is plenty of room. Everything seems to be about the same as my older version except this one has side pockets for my hands and I love that! I mostly wear them for hiking in the rain. Worth every penny and I hope these will last me another 20 years!

They are super lightweight, durable, breathable, abrasion resistant, stretchy, quick drying, zipper hand pocket for security, legs zip off to 8 ” short, and adjustable hem. The legs zips off super easy and they are a good length I ’ m 5 ’ 2 ” to give you an idea of where they hit. I would absolutely take these with me on any hike and especially overnight hikes cause they are so universal. Put long johns under them and stay warm. These are worth every penny.

[ Very useful for those days when the temps will swing a lot. Maybe you are starting activities early in the morning when it's cold but will be out as it gets hot and want to remove the legs of your pants to have shorts instead. Or perhaps you are hiking and going up a mountain and know it will get much colder as you proceed, and will want to change from shorts to pants. These are comfy for any such activities. My only complaint is that I think these run a bit small. I wear a medium in most pants and shorts( including shorts from Marmot), but these are pretty tight on my curvier butt and legs.

Not too tight but fitted enough to to be flattering not feel like your wearing hiking pants. There are tons of pockets and I mean pockets that actually hold things including your phone!
