My last favorites were Columbia( from 4- 5 years ago), which I had to `` retire '' this year... they 've seen a lot of wear, and have held up great! I recently ordered 4 different styles in a few different sizes. This style fit me the best, so I bought 5 pair. I am 5' 7 '', 130 lbs, and 60 yo. I have long, lean legs, and a short waist. I have shorts that fit me well from size 4- 8, just depends on the style. I tried size 6 in the 5 '' inseam, but the waist was a little snug, so I returned for size 8, which fit perfectly. I still have room in the hips, but they fit nicely and give me some shape. And my legs do n't look like sticks hanging out of a barrel!;) This fabric has a nice, silky feel to it. I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. Overall I really like it and I will get a second pair to use when I do the Salkantay Trail in the near future.
