4. 0 is the best base layer for the price. My kids are competitive skiers in the Northeast. Our winters are harsh and with windchill the temperatures can drop below zero. Using these 4. 0 as base layers helps to keep their heat from escaping. They hold up well through washing and the boys playing/lounging in them after skiing too. They both have two sets, and I only replace once they are outgrown. I just wish they came in more colors.

Purchased for winter soccer practices for a small 12 year old. Material feels to be good quality. It is really thick. The armpit area felt tight so we will be returning and purchasing the next size up.
