I fell between sizes and sized up because it was described as somewhat slimmer fitting, but I had to exchange for the smaller size because there was plenty of room through the middle and enough in the hips( also does n't go low on the hips. The details are thoughtful. The fabric is slightly sturdier than other typical similar shirts, but it has the following vents and sleeves can roll up with tabs. [ I love this shirt. Not only is it attractive and the colors are amazing, I bought all three colors, but it keeps me cool running in hot temperatures. I run in the desert up to 96 degrees in these shirts. I wear a medium in other brands but a large in icebreaker tops. The slit in the back makes a nice vent for heat to escape and the shirt flows AWAY from the body which allows for airflow over the skin. The air also flows through this fabric cooling me down and when it is saturated in sweat it still feels cool to the skin. Awesome! Functional and attractive. What more could you want?
