I bought these in white in XL and then in black in L. I like pants loose at the waist and need a long rise. I also got the short length, which sit at my instep( 5' 4 ''). The black ones in the L fit better as to the rise and volume of the legs, but I prefer the looser waist on the XL. I wish designers would give up the hourglass myth of women's bodies: If one needs a L for the hips, one probably does not have a 32 '' waist. The drawstring makes these wearable. Both are comfortable, though, and very light. So I will probably wear the black ones out more, and keep wearing the white ones around the house. Very comfortable style and fabric. I find myself wearing these most days in the Florida warm temps. Very nicely made, as well. I marked `` runs small '' because the elastic at the waist, IMO, should be about 2 inches larger. Love these black denim jeans. True to size. I am 5 ’ 10 and the length hits right at the top of my feet. I ’ m okay with that. Just have to loosen the buttons at the knee to give a longer look. The black is not faded…very dark. Only one issue, the closure is a snap button. Not sure why they did that. Other than that these jeans are nice.

[ These pants are too long, but amazing! I ’ m 5 ft 4. 5 inches, and my waist is 27 or 28 inches. I ordered size 6, because I wanted a comfortable fit. The waist fits perfectly, not too tight, and not too big. However the length is not right, they are way too long. I ’ m bringing the pants to a tailor to get them shortened. Nevertheless, I ’ m really happy about my purchase!
