The concept for the Air Max was first introduced at the 1978 Honolulu Marathon in Hawaii with a shoe known as the Tailwind. The Tailwind featured trapped air that created functional cushioning, but Nike Air engineers struggled to feature the trapped air in the design. In 1987 young architect turned shoe designer, Tinker Hatfield, cracked the design. Inspired by the Centre Pompidou, a modern art museum in Paris, Hatfield designed the Air Max 1 with visible air in the midsole, thus brining forth one of Nike’s most iconic designs.

He then brought the idea to Nike in 1978 as a revolutionary cushioning concept. A blow molding process fills each air unit with dense gasses that can't leak from plastic. Super Disappointed, I Was So Excited To Get Them.
These shoes would’ve been perfect, they fit perfectly and feel comfy, however the shoes arrived discolored and did not match the bright white appearance in the photos. There was noticeable yellowing, dirt marks, scuffs, and debris throughout the shoes, along with signs of wear on the outsole and heel. Overall, the condition appears as if there were worn and returned. Wish they would’ve came as advertised.

I found these comfortable. They’re very roomy, which is perfect if you have larger feet, and they don’t feel tight or restrictive at all. As someone who suffers from corns, I really appreciate how gentle and supportive they are no pressure points or discomfort. They’re also lightweight, making them easy to wear all day. Honest Review
This model runs small. Size up, even you have a little extra room keep it. If you order your regular size going to be uncomfortable for your toes. I wish the tongue was the same material that the shoes because is hard and big and is moving every 2 minutes, this is really uncomfortable for a long walks. Other wise the shoes have a good cushion. And looks nice. I keep the sneakers and you can dress up with a mini dress and denim shorts.

Not Fully White , More Like A Cream.
Kind of disappointed…was waiting on these WHITE shoes but they are not fully white as they show in the pictures. They are like a cream color… not what I expected.

Best And Most Comfortable Shoe I Have Ever Purchased
I have to be honest and say I purchased these for the look! lol I LOVE the color. I have owned several different Nike style shoes through out the years, however THESE right here.... RUN to go grab you a pair. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I have a lot of pain at times in the back of my foot above my heal, so walking at times in other shoes gives me discomfort. These shoes have been a tremendous support and I no longer get the pain that I used to. I for sure will be purchasing in other colors as well.

These are SUPER comfortable and INCREDIBLY lightweight...they look kinda' bulky from the pictures online, but they look soooo nice & clean on feet :)
They're listed as women shoes, but these are great for men too...I really liked the colorways, and they have big sizes (W 15.5 / M 14)!

Had to return this shoe for a bigger size - I usually wear a 6.5 in this type of sneaker but it was very snug, also there was a lot of glue in places it shouldn’t of been. Not sure how it passed quality check. Exchanging for a larger size and hoping it doesn’t come with the glue marks as these did.

Actual Color Not As Pictured
This is my second pair of this type of shoe. They are VERY comfortable. However, on the second pair, the color I got is not at all like what is pictured. It should fade from pink to purple to black. It goes pink to gray to black. Very disappointed as I paid a good amount for a shoe I wanted but is not as advertised.
