Permanent Odor After Getting Wet Once—no Help From On Or Dick’s

★☆☆☆☆ I purchased these On shoes from Dick’s Sporting Goods expecting a premium running shoe from a reputable brand. Unfortunately, after getting wet a single time during normal use, they developed an extremely strong odor that never went away despite multiple cleaning attempts. I contacted On directly and was told that odors caused by moisture are not covered under their warranty. I found that response disappointing because my concern wasn’t that moisture caused the odor—my concern was that an expensive athletic shoe became permanently foul-smelling after ordinary exposure to water. I also reached out for assistance through Dick’s and was disappointed that no meaningful solution was offered there either. As a customer, I was left stuck between the retailer and the manufacturer, with neither willing to stand behind a product that failed well before I expected it to. For a shoe at this price point, I expected much better durability and much better customer service. I will not purchase On shoes again, and this experience has unfortunately destroyed my confidence in Dick’s Sporting Goods as well, so I will not be shopping there either.

I been using this shoes for ever and they are confortable. The performance is very poor on the top part of the shoe. Example I have this shoes for 5 years using them every day and the sole resisted all weather and all roads I’ve been, but the top part is not that great. You can have a great shoe for years but they start breaking. The material is not the best that can resist the same as the sole. Any way I love the shoes but if the money is the issue then don’t buy them but if you like a shoe that last for ever then you know. I can testify about this shoes and they are great but they should make them more resistant.

I use these shoes to get the train and then a walk to the office. It's a great fitting shoe that is super comfortable. The only thing that might change is the laces. I like them but I would like to get a flex lace that goes all the way down the shoe.
