[ I bought this knife because it reminded me of the Buck 110 my old man gave me as a gift when I was a kid . I liked that gift a lot and used that knife for many many years . I always hoped Buck would remake a high quality modern version of the 110 model . Well Benchmade beat them to it . The knife opens and closes butter smooth . This knife is very similar to the Benchmade 940 but with a nostalgic appearance . I love the axis lock . I love how this knife looks . My only complaints about this knife is the finish is pretty slick( not much traction on the knife) and and the wood scales do n't sit perfectly flush with the aluminum . Overall, I very much like this knife .

5 Eric
[ Sharp, light in weight, lots of aftermarket parts . Feels good in hand . Description does n't say it but the black handle is Benchmade's carbon plastic model, which is more premium, lighter weight, stronger and better texture than its standard plastic grivory scales . Mechanism is secure . Everything about it is a solid knife .

5 Eliot Eliot
[ Got this knife as both a camping/EDC option . Really happy with the feel and performance . Blade extremely sharp . Fits perfectly in you pocket . So light you almost dont know its there . Recommended!

5 Go Cards
[ This knife is not only Super light but also the sharpest knife I ’ ve ever owned . Perfect knife for backpacking adventures . I carried it on my last trip and didn ’ t even notice it was there .

4 RobL
[ This knife is extremely popular and now I know why . It is so light that you forget it's in your pocket . If you get one, do yourself a favor and take it apart after breaking it in and oil the washers . After this, the action is so smooth and it drops shut .

I bought this for my SIL as a Christmas gift . When my husband saw it he decided he would like one . I 'll be back!

5 SES6
Having grown up in a family who made DIY its motto; they often said that a dull cutting tool, is a dangerous cutting tool . My SOG Flash AT has been one of the best toolsI have added, the fit and feel plus sharpness has been a boon on campouts and around the house!

5 Satisfied consumer
Great knife . Perfect size . Love the deep carry clip . Based on initial quality, should provide years of service!

5 Eric
This is THE knife for around the farm, backpacking, yard work and road trips .

5
This is a great knife . Perfectly balanced and opens very fast and with intentions . If you have to deploy the knife for protection, whoever is on the other end is gon na be second guessing their self after hearing and seeing this bad boy open . I see some people have complained about the clip but it goes smoothly in and out of my pocket, with no trouble at all . It's actually one of the best clips I 've used honestly . I ca n't even tell there's a knife in my pocket . I have to check sometimes and give myself a quick pat on the pocket, just to make sure it's in there . The knife is a little longer than I anticipated but it's worked out great for me . It's really no problem . It has just the right weight and balance and it's exactly what I wanted . I would like to see this knife about an inch shorter . I 'd definitely buy it again . Just to clarify, the size is fine because of the perfect balance and weight . I 'd just like to see a smaller version, that's all . Before this knife, I carried a Gerber Highbrow, Compact version for about a year and it was heavy compared to the Flash AT . I can put my phone in the same pocket as the Flash AT and not have to worry about scratching up my phone . It stays so well placed in my pocket because of the deep carry pocket clip . If you 're thinking about getting this knife, I say go for it . You wo n't be disappointed . Great job SOG!

5 Taylor G
I purchased this over the Benchmade Bugout; I have no regrets . I love the Flash AT over the Bugout! Given I respect and love Benchmade, I just prefer the Flash AT! Can sharp out of the box; no flaws; heavy duty, this knife is heavier so if you want lightweight the Flash AT, doesn ’ t achieve that, but it sure does have heavy built; so if you ’ re like me that prefers a heavy duty combat knife that is a beast this knife sure achieves that .

4 BoingBoing
4 stars . Would be a 5 but the thumb assist is too close to the handle . The SOG Flare thumb assist is in a perfect location . Move this and it ’s a 5 Star knife! Love it anyway!

5 Cricket
One of the best knives ive owned . Have put it to the test being a pool cleaner, it deals with chlorine, acid, chemicals, and its still as sharp as the day it arrived . Once its broke in its easy to open, the blade lock is great, and zero rust or divits to the blade from work . Never owned a Sog before but will definitely buy another one after this one wears out

5 Doug
I love the steel, and a full liner . a great axis lockup .

5 Msmith0550

5 Mxer912
Very tough light! I really like that you can just pulse the button without having to fully turn it on . The clip is tight and does loosen up . I have actually replaced my previous Coast EDC light with the Flash AT Petrol . Excellent light, and would definitely get another one .

5 T W Thornton
Beautiful blade and handle, need to lose the back lock and install a back flipper knob, too many steps to deploy blade, and the blade is difficult to move with the thumb knob .

4 Eric B
Bought this for my wife and she loves it . We own several SOGs and have never been disappointed . Only ever had one issue when the SOG logo plate fell out of the handle of one of them . Their customer service was excellent and sent out a new plate that I glued in . The ONLY thing that keeps the Flash AT from getting a 5 star rating in my book is that the thumb post for opening it could be slightly bigger . It ’s a little tough to get a good purchase on with my bigger thumbs and the rather sharp point actually hurts a bit when you push on it . Otherwise great daily utility knife .

[ Jazzed on this knife, treated my self to a nice knife to celebrate an accomplishment and the difference between my$ 45 Kershaw and this is noticeable . Much lighter even know it is a bigger knife, smoother action, and sits in the pocket way better .

5 Axolotl
I bought this a week ago and I do n't see myself ever regretting the purchase . It took me some time to decide on it because of the price point, but once you hold it in your hands, you see that every dollar is justified .

5 Terry801
I bought this knife a month ago, this is my 4th Benchmade, Excellent quality keeps a sharp Edge

5 Almherdfan
The Benchmade 940 has become a top edc pick . I love the blade length, light weight, and carrying profile . The steel is excellent, the blade is versatile and the axis lock makes deployment a breeze . A great all- around knife that should last a life- time and then some .

5 Tyedye treeguy
[ Got this knife 8 or so years ago and have beat on it . It has held up to a lot of abuse . Super sharp when i got it . The edge held for a while but if you are actually using this knife, you will eventually have to sharpen it . It takes patience to get a nice edge back . Crazy hard steel . Great knife overall . It has done so much for me . Worth every penny .
