I got this knife about 2 months ago and it's great. Razor sharp out of the box and it's super durable. It's got this secure feeling when you hold it. The locking mechanism is great too. It's a frame lock and is really easy to open and close.

I originally bought this knife at the base PX for training thinking it would be a cheap disposable. This has by far been the best knife purchase I could 've made. This knife got me through field training, serves me daily in the office, and even provided crucial help during a car accident by breaking a window and cutting through a seatbelt. The Salute Mini is somewhat of a misnomer for this knife. It is a very well built, well balanced, mid- sized lockback. It has an excellent blade profile for piercing as well as slicing. Dual, bronze pivot washers are rare at this price point. Nothing was really skimped on with superb knife except maybe the bead blast finish as opposed to satin polish. I ca n't comment on the black version other than my personal preference for silver blades. You 'd be hard pressed to find better quality and value than the Salute `` Mini ''. It's a no B. S., awesome EDC.

I then brought the knife with me to Missouri for a goose hunt this spring. The knife removes the breasts from the bone with ease. Bought one as a present for my father. After using it a few times, I needed one for myself. Cleaned mainly walleye with it and a few perch so far and it does a great job. I was very impressed with the overall package as a whole. 4 blades, 2 lithium batteries, charger and case. The case is super nice and very well thought out, everything has a really nice snug fit. Highly recommend this product. I have other Bubba blades and just like those knives this one did not disappoint!

I am 40 and always used straight blades. I got this to make things easier when catching lots of pan fish with my son. We got 6 walleye and sauger the other day and tried this out! Cuts amazing, and if it ’s possible is almost to sharp. The blades made quick work no issues. Sorry to hear other do n't like it, but I lost my first one and am on the site to order another. The thin blade is great for my applications, I do carry a pen knife for small/precise uses and another for self defence( also a SOG). I did n't like the lock that kept it from accidently opening so I removed it with pliars. I consider adjusting the screws normal maintenance so the guy that complained it was too stiff is on him in my opintion. After a couple years of use you WILL have to tighten the screws on MOST knives, but once I had mine adjusted to preferance I have n't had to change it in a long time. I also do not like the thumb tabs as they wear a spot on my jeans so I also removed those, I might think about just grinding them down a bit on my new knife.

From the blade to handle ratio, ambidextrous construction, lightweight glass fiber polymer, slim no nonsense design, to the firm feel of the liner lock and blade stop. the tolerance is so tight that there is no blade play out of the box. I do n't typically fall in love with a knife at first sight. However with this one I immediately had to buy it. If there was one thing I 'd change about it. Holds an edge well and the orange makes it easy to see. My one issue is that the blade has small stylistic divots, which take more effort to sanitize. My wife and son bought me this knife for my birthday. We are regular hikers, campers, hunters, and outdoors people. It is razor sharp, holds and edge and is not a bear to sharpen. I bought this knife because this was the knife Rick Grimes tossed Randyl in the `` 18 Miles Out '' school sceen. on AMC `` The Walking dead. I saw it cut through Randyl's Wrist binding like butter.
