I believe that these scissors were approximately$ 6. I am constantly on the lookout for a pair of fishing scissors that will finally Do It All! These are those scissors!!! For me the most important thing was to be able to cut a lure off without having the knot remain behind on the hook or stuck in the eye of the lure. Also I wanted to be able to cut tag ends extremely close. Finally, I wanted to be able to cut even a limp line with one hand. These scissors do all those things. My only regret is that they were the last pair available. I am a combat Marine. I MUST have at least two of everything.

I had my Gerber Multi- Tool for over 25 years and I lost it recently... This new Truss is an even better tool than the old one I carried for so long... Thanks folks!

I have carried the same Gerber Multi- Tool for well over 25 years and a week ago I lost it, it went* missing*, who knows, in any case, I ordered a new Truss and I am VERY happy with it. I do some gun work at home and in the field and it seems to be perfect and fully up to the task!

I have owned my Truss for a year now and I use it almost daily, it has always performed when asked to. The blades are easy to maintain sharpness, the pliers are rigid and strong, and the scissors keep impressing me with what they will cut. This is a great tool with outstanding value, you can not go wrong for the price.

I just received this in the mail, and upon examining it and testing it out- it seems to be sturdy and have everything you need. Knife is sharp, ruler is useful, and the pliers seem effective.

I personally own three of these. One for my bunker gear, one for my station pants, and one for my EDC. It is as solid as they come and just perfect for most tasks, even ones it should not be doing( firefighters have a way of doing that to tools) I have gotten plenty of other people in my department on this bandwagon, and I now exclusively purchase Gerber knives and miltitools. They 're just that damn good.
Serrated scissors are designed to provide a better grip and cutting ability on slippery or tough materials. The serrated edges help to hold the material in place while cutting, making them ideal for tasks such as cutting through fishing line, rope, or other fibrous materials. They are often used in various applications, including crafting, fishing, and outdoor activities, where precision and control are important.
Serrated scissors feature a blade with a jagged edge, which allows them to grip and cut through tougher materials more effectively than regular scissors. This design is particularly useful for cutting through items like rope, fabric, or other fibrous materials, as the serrations help prevent slipping. In contrast, regular scissors typically have smooth blades that are better suited for clean cuts on paper or lighter materials. The choice between serrated and regular scissors depends on the specific cutting tasks you need to accomplish.
Serrated scissors are typically constructed using high-quality stainless steel for the blades, which provides durability and resistance to corrosion. The handles are often made from materials like plastic or rubber, offering a comfortable grip and ensuring ease of use. Some models may also feature additional coatings or finishes to enhance performance and longevity.
Serrated scissors are designed to handle tougher materials more effectively than standard scissors. The serrated edges grip and slice through dense fabrics, rope, or other challenging materials, making them a practical choice for various tasks. They can provide better control and precision when cutting through items that may be difficult to manage with smooth blades. Many users find them particularly useful in crafting, fishing, or outdoor activities.
When choosing serrated scissors, consider the blade material and design, as these can impact cutting efficiency and durability. Look for scissors with comfortable handles that provide a secure grip, especially if you plan to use them for extended periods. Additionally, the size and shape of the blades can affect their versatility, so think about the types of materials you will be cutting. Finally, check for any special features, such as built-in tools or safety mechanisms, that may enhance usability.
Serrated scissors are designed to be versatile and can often be used by both left-handed and right-handed users. Many models feature a symmetrical design or ambidextrous grip, allowing for comfortable use regardless of hand dominance. However, some scissors may be specifically designed for one hand, so it's important to check the design features if you have a preference. Overall, many options are available to accommodate different users.
Serrated scissors are designed with a unique blade edge that provides enhanced grip and cutting power, making them ideal for specific tasks. The serrated edges can easily slice through tougher materials, such as fabrics, ropes, or fishing lines, without slipping. This feature allows for more precise cuts, especially in situations where a clean edge is essential. Additionally, the design can help reduce the effort needed to cut through dense or fibrous materials, making them a practical choice for various applications.
To determine the right size of serrated scissors for your needs, consider the types of tasks you will be performing. Smaller scissors are often more suitable for detailed work or precision cutting, while larger scissors can handle thicker materials and broader cuts. Additionally, think about the comfort of the grip and how the size fits in your hand, as this can affect your control and ease of use during cutting tasks. Evaluating these factors will help you choose the most appropriate size for your specific applications.
Yes, there are different styles of serrated scissors designed for various applications. Some feature straight blades for precision cutting, while others may have bent shafts to enhance accessibility in tight spaces. Additionally, certain designs incorporate specialized serrations that improve grip and cutting efficiency for specific materials. This variety allows users to select the most suitable scissors based on their intended use, whether for crafting, fishing, or other tasks.
To keep serrated scissors in good condition, regular cleaning is essential. After each use, wipe the blades with a soft cloth to remove any debris or residue. It's also important to periodically check the blades for any signs of dullness or damage; if necessary, sharpen them using a suitable sharpening tool designed for serrated edges. Additionally, storing the scissors in a protective case can help prevent accidental damage and maintain their performance.
