I was gifted this knife about 6 years ago, used it almost daily, and it had never disappointed me . Unfortunately, I lost it a little while ago, and I have n't been able to find another one to compare, so I 'm back to buy another one . It was n't bulky in any of my pocket's( including women's shallow jean pockets), and had a sturdy enough clip to stay in place without slipping out accidentally . It was stiff to open one- handed, but I personally enjoyed that so it did n't come open in my bag or pants, and the blade stayed sharp no matter what kind of work I was using it for . I whole- heartedly recommend this knife .

For quite a few years now I have treated myself to a new Twitch II for the holidays . This year, when I read that the Twitch III had been released, I just had to have one! The slim profile fits nicely in your front pocket . The assisted open is lightning fast . While I wasn ’ t so sure if I liked the lock position in front of the blade, it does allow for one handed closing . I highly recommend this knife for those that have purchased the Twitch II in the past .

5
Jake
Knife is amazing . Very smooth opening, blade is very sharp and has maintained that edge throughout the first month of use . Only improvement iand these would make it the best edc ever would be to have some texture on handle it is very sleek and smooth to touch and to make it just a touch longer . I don ’ t have great big hands but it is still a slight small . When opening it feels it could jump out of my hand

[ Sharp, light in weight, lots of aftermarket parts . Feels good in hand . Thanks for a fine product .

I picked up this knife for a shop over 5 yeara ago, still carry it to this day . If you wear jeans with the little pocket above your bigger right front pocket, this knife fits perfectly in there so toss out whatever belt case Gerber gives you for this knife and keep it in that pocket . I have worn holes in my pants from keeping this knife in that spot on a daily basis! The knife is strong, well balanced, feels great in the hand . I 've had some blade wiggle but it's a simple retightening of a bolt . I 've worn off the rubber from the grip and I know if I ever get another one of these knives( which I will) I 'm going to put my worn grip on the new one! Only downside if that little bolt that fixes the wiggle, it strips really easy . If they used better metal or a different head like a robinson or something, it wouldnt strip as easy . Ive used and abused this knife, I use it camping, hunting, general work, no problems . Holds an edge really well, easy to sharpen .

I had this knife a few years ago and mis- placed it sadly, I have nothing bad to say about this knife, its very durable, and the that circle on the handle was a cool feature it helped with grip a lot, the blade was very sharp and strong, and the handle was almost a fiberglass looking metal handle( would be nice to of been that rubber matte finish) but . . anyways I 'm about to re- buy this, great buy!

well a little kid knocked my favorite knife off the pier today and i wish the warantee would cover that but it was a great knife, comes sharp, stays sharp and good blade thickness but lightweight and extremely durable cant believe the things it had been through( 70% of powdercoat was knocked off if that gives you any indication of how much abuse it survived, im ordering another as soon as im done with this here review, great product hope they continue to make great cheap knifes like these in the future .

this knife is great im the fourth gen . it came to me from my father it came from his and so on it been a great knife i think my grand father bought it new when it first came out ive used it for a lot of things from camping to hunting kepp up the great work
5
I got this knife as an every day carry back in highschool( mid 20's now) and its the most trusted knife Ive owned . I got a different knife by Smith and Wesson and it gave out so soon that Im back to this one . Its survived a motorcycle wreck without any damage other than a loss of the thumb stud so the blade is a little wiggly when opened .. . but just brace with a thumb or index finger and its still super awesome .
5
I did n't realize how much I loved this knife until I lost it . I used it almost daily for just about anything you can think . The knife was extremely durable . What I ended up loving the most about the knife was it's light weight but sturdy frame . I could take it on jogs and light weight backpacking trips because of its weight . It fits easy into the pocket and you ca n't even tell it's there . Most knifes are bulky or the opening mechanisms catch on the pocket, but not the evo . When I searched for an alternative I could n't find an anything close .

Got this for hubby and he was impressed . It has all the basic features that he needs and substantial enough to be compact, but easy to hold too unlike some other micro tools .

Having grown up in a family who made DIY its motto; they often said that a dull cutting tool, is a dangerous cutting tool . My SOG Flash AT has been one of the best toolsI have added, the fit and feel plus sharpness has been a boon on campouts and around the house!

Great knife . Perfect size . Love the deep carry clip . Based on initial quality, should provide years of service!

This is THE knife for around the farm, backpacking, yard work and road trips .

This is a great knife . Perfectly balanced and opens very fast and with intentions . If you have to deploy the knife for protection, whoever is on the other end is gon na be second guessing their self after hearing and seeing this bad boy open . I see some people have complained about the clip but it goes smoothly in and out of my pocket, with no trouble at all . It's actually one of the best clips I 've used honestly . I ca n't even tell there's a knife in my pocket . I have to check sometimes and give myself a quick pat on the pocket, just to make sure it's in there . The knife is a little longer than I anticipated but it's worked out great for me . It's really no problem . It has just the right weight and balance and it's exactly what I wanted . I would like to see this knife about an inch shorter . I 'd definitely buy it again . Just to clarify, the size is fine because of the perfect balance and weight . I 'd just like to see a smaller version, that's all . Before this knife, I carried a Gerber Highbrow, Compact version for about a year and it was heavy compared to the Flash AT . I can put my phone in the same pocket as the Flash AT and not have to worry about scratching up my phone . It stays so well placed in my pocket because of the deep carry pocket clip . If you 're thinking about getting this knife, I say go for it . You wo n't be disappointed . Great job SOG!

I purchased this over the Benchmade Bugout; I have no regrets . I love the Flash AT over the Bugout! Given I respect and love Benchmade, I just prefer the Flash AT! Can sharp out of the box; no flaws; heavy duty, this knife is heavier so if you want lightweight the Flash AT, doesn ’ t achieve that, but it sure does have heavy built; so if you ’ re like me that prefers a heavy duty combat knife that is a beast this knife sure achieves that .

4 stars . Would be a 5 but the thumb assist is too close to the handle . The SOG Flare thumb assist is in a perfect location . Move this and it ’s a 5 Star knife! Love it anyway!

One of the best knives ive owned . Have put it to the test being a pool cleaner, it deals with chlorine, acid, chemicals, and its still as sharp as the day it arrived . Once its broke in its easy to open, the blade lock is great, and zero rust or divits to the blade from work . Never owned a Sog before but will definitely buy another one after this one wears out

Bought as a Christmas gift and it was received with glee . Stylish, if you can say that about a knife, and does what expected with ease . Only question is what do we do with what appears to be a battery?

Very tough light! I really like that you can just pulse the button without having to fully turn it on . The clip is tight and does loosen up . I have actually replaced my previous Coast EDC light with the Flash AT Petrol . Excellent light, and would definitely get another one .

Bought this for my wife and she loves it . We own several SOGs and have never been disappointed . Only ever had one issue when the SOG logo plate fell out of the handle of one of them . Their customer service was excellent and sent out a new plate that I glued in . The ONLY thing that keeps the Flash AT from getting a 5 star rating in my book is that the thumb post for opening it could be slightly bigger . It ’s a little tough to get a good purchase on with my bigger thumbs and the rather sharp point actually hurts a bit when you push on it . Otherwise great daily utility knife .

[ Jazzed on this knife, treated my self to a nice knife to celebrate an accomplishment and the difference between my$ 45 Kershaw and this is noticeable . Much lighter even know it is a bigger knife, smoother action, and sits in the pocket way better .

I bought this a week ago and I do n't see myself ever regretting the purchase . It took me some time to decide on it because of the price point, but once you hold it in your hands, you see that every dollar is justified .

The Benchmade 940 has become a top edc pick . I love the blade length, light weight, and carrying profile . The steel is excellent, the blade is versatile and the axis lock makes deployment a breeze . A great all- around knife that should last a life- time and then some .

[ Got this knife 8 or so years ago and have beat on it . It has held up to a lot of abuse . Super sharp when i got it . The edge held for a while but if you are actually using this knife, you will eventually have to sharpen it . It takes patience to get a nice edge back . Crazy hard steel . Great knife overall . It has done so much for me . Worth every penny .
