I have both the EVO SL and this shoe, the EVO SL EXO, and while they ’ re both great, the EXO has the stability the EVO lacks( but it is less breathable than the regular EVO. This is a minor point.) These have become one of my favorite Adidas running shoes now- that means a lot because I have every Adidas performance line running shoes. I just got these last week and put in about 10 miles. I like the previous Rise 2, and this one is better in terms of comfort and shock absorption. The previous version was a bit firm but had a good energy return. I prefer Rise 3 much better as a long run and daily trainer companion.

I work on my feet all day as a phlebotomist. By the end of the day, my feet and ankles are on fire with pain and I 'm usually so tired that I 'll drop to sleep or be low on energy when I get off. With these shoes, my feet felt amazing, I wasnt tired and my foot didnt slide out in the fast paced environment( I was really concerned about that). I did have to exchange for a different size because they run a little big. If you have to exchange for a different size, just keep doing it until you find the right size. If you do n't, use something to supplement like an insole. They 're so worth the purchase. Oh, plus they make you two inches taller- I 'm not too excited about that but... the pros outweigh the cons.
