These are great for strapping anything that needs to be strapped down on your roof roack( thule rack or otherwise). I have used this system for several years older version and now newer version. I bought these additional ones because I like the ratcheting system better than what came with my new kayak racks. These pull tight quickly and release very easily. I like the carabiner I no longer worry about it coming detached from the kayak while traveling. I highly recommend.
