i love this knife and it is such an awesome piece of art it is durable and has a lock so it does n't close when you are using it
5
I really like this knife. the handle is comfortable and the blade came from Gerber very sharp. so far it has held its edge very well and has n't required and sharpening. The knife is heavy compared to others I have at the same size but I like that substantial feeling and it is more difficult to flip compared to knives with a thumb stud but because of that the blade never gets hung up by the stud.

I recently purchased the new SCOUT Knife as a Christmas gift for my son, who has recently enlisted in the Army. This knife exceeded all our expectations. Its robust build and sleek design make it not only a practical tool but also a memorable keepsake. My son absolutely loved it! He mentioned how it brought back fond memories of our Boy Scout camping trips. This gift turned out to be more than just a piece of equipment; it sparked hours of conversation on Christmas Day, reminiscing about our past adventures and the special times we shared together. Gerber has not only delivered an outstanding product but also helped rekindle precious memories. Highly recommended for its quality and the wonderful nostalgia it brings!

Everything about this tool is perfect. From the blade to handle ratio, ambidextrous construction, lightweight glass fiber polymer, slim no nonsense design, to the firm feel of the liner lock and blade stop. the tolerance is so tight that there is no blade play out of the box. I do n't typically fall in love with a knife at first sight. However with this one I immediately had to buy it. If there was one thing I 'd change about it. I 'd have to say I 'd like to see it in an auto or spring assisted version. I 'd buy an auto pledge like time yesterday. Anyway that's my Ted talk. My favorite knife to date.
5
I got this knife on my birthday last month from my dad and I have not found one reason yet to live with out it. [ Sharp, light in weight, lots of aftermarket parts. Feels good in hand. I was looking for an American Made knife for daily carry that could be opened with one hand and that was slim and light. The Buck Bantam was a perfect fit for all this criteria. The price was good which made the entire purchase a good value. I can not speak to its longevity as I have not owned it that long. Ask me if I still have it a couple of years from now! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a sharp, easily carried knife for daily use.

After some use, this new Made in the USA gerber blade performs well. I used it while camping and it did great for al, the tasks I asked of it. It carved sticks, created kindling and fuzz sticks for a fire, sparked a ferro rod, cut rope, and sliced up our meat for supper. The sheath is well thought out and allows for multiple carry options. The handle fit my hand well and was very grippy in all conditions. I ordered a fine edge from an Internet site, and received a serrated in the box. Gerber's customer service was awesome, and quickly replaced it with the fine edge version that was supposed to be in the box.
5
Joey
A great knife, held up well for months and can keep a edge. I would recommend it to anyone with a hunger for a great knife.
5
John C.
As soon as I opened the box I was impressed with the fit and finish of the materials. It feels sturdy. The details are well designed, like how the sheath snaps onto the handle for a secure fit. Thanks to Gerber for letting quality speak for itself. I returned another knife to upgrade to this one.

Hungry556
Back in my Active Duty days, I carried a Gerber Mark2 in my ruck. So Brand Loyalty is key here, I 'm not a full on Gerber Fanboy, but their designs and innovations speak to this former Grunt, and now retired but still running Precision Rifle matches. My EDC was the Gerber LST( light and SS for corrosion concerns). My current EDC is the Gerber Swagger. I sprung for this StongArm because I found the Prodigy and LMF and Infantry knives/sheaths a bit on the heavy side. Enter 2015 and the StongArm.... What can I say that has not been said. Great for BOB knife, SHTF, Zombie Apocalypse and plain old GTFO/ Get Home bag. I 'm no longer wearing a plate carrier so a simple FLC with MOLLE will see this knife. My Maxpedition bags all have MOLLE so this GTFO/SHTF knife mounts with amazing flexibility. And for my 2017 Taco truck the BG Ultimate Pro will reside in the cubby. This StrongArm will always reside in my GTFO gear, though. I do have an axe for the truck so I 'm not concerned about chopping, but I 'm super pleased to know from the YouTube reviews, that these knives can hold their own. Thanks for a great design in the USA Made StrongArm... I 'll be dead before this knife dies.... LOL

This is my first Kershaw folder and I 'm very pleased. It is also my first flipper assisted opener. It opens nearly as easily as my automatics. The blade was very sharp out of the box and the frame lock works very well. The handles look and feel very well made and the pocket clip can be moved to suit any preferred style of carry. I like this knife so well that I now need it's big brother the Cryo II for my collection.

Let me be frank about this. Its one of the best knives under 20 dollers you can get.
5
I got this knife about 2 months ago and it's great. Razor sharp out of the box and it's super durable. It's got this secure feeling when you hold it. The locking mechanism is great too. It's a frame lock and is really easy to open and close.
5
I originally bought this knife at the base PX for training thinking it would be a cheap disposable. This has by far been the best knife purchase I could 've made. This knife got me through field training, serves me daily in the office, and even provided crucial help during a car accident by breaking a window and cutting through a seatbelt. If you need a knife that can do it all, I swear by this one. It's a simple and reliable tool that comes everywhere with me.
5
It is really light and eventually you start to master the art of closing it. Highly recommend, but only if you are willing to practice closing it cause it might take time to get used to.

I just put the SOG Jungle Primitive to a brief initial test. Results were good. I chopped a six inch log in half in about 30 seconds. Then I shaved some kindling and tinder. I really like this knife's bigger brother, the Bugout and thought I would try this one, but it is too small for my large hands. I will not ding the knife for this, it is a personal preference and a simple fact that I have large hands. I did return it for that reason. I really like the knife and anyone who does n't have bear paws for hands will love this knife.

Great knife. I 've owned it for over 3 years, and carry it every day. Once you get used to the design, opens very easily with one hand, and holds an edge very well. Thick and sturdy blade has never malfunctioned. I sharpen about every 3- 4 weeks and one drop of oil on the hinge. No complaints.

Honestly a really good knife. It was given to me as a door prize for a National Guard competition. At first I was n't impressed with the design, but time after time this knife has been the one I have turned to. It sharpens up to a razor edge with no trouble and holds a edge extremely well. The unusual hinge mechanism is extremely durable. Other folders' pins would have certainly loosened or altogether sheared off under the abuse I have put this knife.

[ I like the size and weight of this knife. Awesome body material is non- slip in your hand but does not stick to your pocket liner. Solid blade is heavy without being clunky. Easy one hand open, a smooth piece all around. Highly recommend for EDC.

Have had this knife for about 6 years, it has seen a lot of use and a lot of abuse. Have never had a single problem with it; blade still sharpens easily, action is smooth, and I have never once had to tighten a screw.

I bought both the Ripstop I& II and I must say I am very happy with both. Light weight, sharp, easy to use. Overall great knife for any situation.

I have carried this knife with me almost every day and use it 3- 5 times/day for about three years. It is easy to open and securely locks in the open position. It fits my big hands well. I have this knife in three sizes. It works well as my money clip and it really holds its edge.

When selecting an adventure knife, consider features such as blade material, size, and design. A high-quality steel blade offers durability and sharpness, while a comfortable grip ensures ease of use during various activities. Additionally, look for knives with versatile functions, such as folding mechanisms or multi-tool capabilities, to enhance their utility in outdoor settings.
The best materials for an adventure knife typically include stainless steel for the blade, which provides resistance to corrosion and wear. Handles made from materials like rubber or textured polymers can offer a secure grip, even in wet conditions. It's also beneficial to consider lightweight materials for ease of carry during outdoor excursions.
Choosing the right size adventure knife depends on your intended use and personal preference. A compact knife may be ideal for lightweight backpacking or everyday carry, while a larger knife can provide more versatility for tasks like chopping or cutting through tougher materials. Consider how you plan to use the knife and select a size that balances portability with functionality.
Adventure knives come in various types designed for specific activities, such as camping, hiking, or survival situations. Fixed-blade knives are often preferred for heavy-duty tasks, while folding knives offer convenience and portability. Multi-tools that incorporate knife blades can also be beneficial for those who want a single tool for multiple functions during outdoor adventures.
The grip and handle design of an adventure knife are crucial for comfort and safety during use. A well-designed handle can prevent slipping and provide better control, especially in challenging conditions. Look for ergonomic shapes and textured surfaces that enhance grip, as these features can significantly impact the knife's performance in outdoor settings.
