Comfort is outstanding. Stability is great. Padding is just right. I appreciate the one piece rubber tread. I am fairly tough on shoes. A marathon a week give or take. One piece rubber tread always wears better than the current trend of contact patches. I burn through the edges and into the padding in just a few weeks with my running and walking style. The one piece allows the force of the step to transfer evenly without abrading and damaging the cushioning. Brooks are my go- to shoe for running and all- day comfort at work where I am on my feet all day. They have the longevity I need in a shoe, so they are worth the cost. Before buying this pair of Glycerin GTS 22 shoes, I did try another brand of shoe that was supposed to be great; however, after just a month or two of wear, they were falling apart. I quickly returned them to the store and immediately went back to my favorite, Brooks. Glycerin 22 GTS is a great shoe with just the right amount of cushion and stability. I highly recommend! I have already bought a total of 3 pairs of these... 1 for work and 2 to rotate for running. P. S. I love the laces! That was my only complaint with an earlier version of the Glycerin shoes. They would not stay tied unless they were double knotted. The new laces do not have this problem!

The Ride is one of my favourite go to shoe from Saucony. It is a true runners' shoe in the sense that it is the total package; cushioning, flexibility, and responsiveness with a touch of inherent stability. The updates of the Ride see it getting lighter, with improved cushioning and fit. I recently did a 50k rail trail race and they held up well; my legs were n't as beat up as they usually are after a long race. It is a great shoe for just about any type of run including hard tempo efforts and Marathon paced efforts. If you didnt want to spend cash on a plated trainer, then this could be a single quiver shoe for the conscientious consumer. My only concern is that the rubber on the outsole is beginning to wear quickly. Although it is likely an aesthetic issue, it is something worth pointing out. Overall, I believe the shoes will last a long time due to the amount of overall cushioning and I will continue to pile up the miles on my new Rides.

I ’ m surprised there are bad reviews. I had the 4s and I actually like these more. Since the reviews said to size up, I got both my normal size( 7 1/2) and 8. The 7 1/2 fits so much better! I walked around my house in the 8s and they loose around my ankle—My foot was lifting out of the shoe a tiny bit. There ’s a little more compression than the 4s, but I actually really like that for running on grass. So I recommend keeping your normal size unless you have a wide foot. I don ’ t consider my foot narrow, I think it ’s pretty normal.

These are very comfortable. It does feel like you are walking on air. There is n't any harsh shock to the foot when moving in these shoes. The toe box on the men's shoe is better fitting than the women's shoe. This is narrower and fits me much better. Nothing rubs at the arch. I recommend these. The waterproof Gore- Tex is great to keep one's socks and feet totally dry. The only thing I do n't like is the looks of the trim they put on the Pegasus 41 around the toe box. Yet, it does n't affect the shoe itself.

Goo pair of she ’s. I am a beginner level runner. In these, I did a 5k and a 10k run so far. They are light and the cushion is better than my peg 39 shield pair. Not tried in the winter rain yet, will see that parth in warmer days. They are warm to feel in the cold weather. The soles are same as my peg 39 shield and storm tread sole is excellent for grip in wet or smooth surfaces, but the price is, it ’s impossible to clean once you got mud in. I had to go straight in garden and rinse it off, use a brush to remove the mud before it sets. I bought them on sale which seems OK price but would not pay full price. Buy at least half a size up, as they run a little small. Nike have never got the sizes right or consistent.

The inside is not as soft like some other shoes but it ’s also not too hard like walking on the cement directly. There is a slight bounce that gives me comfort in knowing that the shoe is absorbing some shock from my footsteps and when I found myself at the beach with them on, I was pleasantly surprised that water and sand did not seep into the front of shoes like it normally would ’ ve with the knits( mind that I didn ’ t walk into the ocean with them on and am referring to an occasional splash while walking on the shore). As for the design, I thought that the little weather icons on the shoelaces was a cute yet settled detail. I was worried that shoes like this would make my feet look clunky, but it ’s giving more of the contemporary fashion with an edge of construction workwear. Highly recommend them for a daily wear! I have yet to test them in arduous hiking or heavy downpours but my impression is that these will satisfy my daily walking needs longer than most other shoes.

Disclaimer: I walk; I do n't run. This is my favorite Ride so far. It's more balanced and a bit wider. Love the tongue loop! Nice color offerings, though I do n't know why we ca n't get a simple navy blue. My normal size 9 fits perfectly. On top of everything, it's also a VERY nice- looking shoe.

Bought a few months ago—used to train in ghosts and those were a bit too neutral, but didn ’ t want something too bouncy either. These are the perfect in between( and are actually cute—rare in a more neutral shoe). I am a distance runner—half ’s usually, but have done a full marathon too. These are so great! Very stable. Sized up a half size( usually do in runners) and they fit great. Would recommend.

I have about 100 miles on these shoes so far and I ’ ve continued to like them more and more! Comfortable, good energy return, good for easy and long runs. Bread and butter shoe. Will be buying another pair once I wear these out.

[ The only complaint I have is with the tongue of the shoe. It has a piece of elastic connected to one side of the shoe. It pulls the tongue to that side. I ’ m thinking about cutting the elastic so the tongue will stay straight in the shoe. I ’ m not a runner I bought them for their great fit, and durability.
