Just spongy enough. Nice heel cup so I do n't get plantar fasciitis. Plenty of toe room. Breathes well so no overheating. On the whole, just right for an old guy who ran for enough years to get chondromalacia patellae. These shoes protect my knee very well. That's why I bought them,

Great shoe. Been using these instead of Ghost for years now after they became bland and bouncy. The latest iteration runs well with good comfort and stability. My only gripes are the laces come undone quite often and they do run hot, so wear very thin socks.
