This is a great jacket. I first got one for my 10yr old and my 8yr old also loved it so I ended up purchasing a 2nd. My girls have other black jackets so I went with this color because it gave another option for clothing and is still very neutral. It is a great fall and spring coat. It is also great for the winter but not in those really freezing temps. The material is thicker than expected but not too thick, and the inside is super soft as well. It is a very well made and comfortable jacket.

I had a hard time trying to get her out of it just to remove the tags. My only concerns is with the light colored sleves and showing dirt fairly easily, time will tell. I bought this in preparation for a trip where I was expecting temps in the low 40s, wind, and rain, but needed a few easily accessible pockets, too. This coat worked perfectly for me, keeping me dry, warm, and relatively protected from the wind( with the hood), too. The lack of an inner pocket was a bit of a miss, but the two outer breast pockets worked well for my phone and( when traveling, and worried about pickpockets) wallet.

Love this vest. It's my 3 rd one because I wear them almost every day from October through May here in Maine. I get about 2 years out of them. My last one had 2 of the 3 zippers fail within a week of each other but it was getting a bit thread worn so needed replacing anyway. I am 5'11 '' tall and weigh 175- 180 and wear a small. I prefer them to be snug to retain heat for my core. Great vest.

However I am often required to work outside when it is heavily misting, snowing and sleeting. I have a number of shirts and jackets with a sherpa lining.
