I was gifted this bag in 2009 and it just ripped slightly on top in 2024. I was n't even sure the brand, but I had to look it up and give a review because 15 years of monthly hiking use on a bag is really impressive. Needless to say, I 'll be buying another!

Hydration pack is well made and super lite. Great for day hikes over long distances and can hold quite a bit of water and accessories for a small pack. The only thing that could be considered a drawback is the closure for the water bladder can slip off when the bladder is completely full. But as long as you are careful putting it in the pack then it is fine.

[ I bought a few different sizes to use for my bikepacking set up, I appreciate the multiple lashing points, it makes it much easier to strap onto my bike. Have used them for a few rides and so far they ’ ve held up wonderfully. I also used them during a split boarding yurt tour to strap some stuff on outside of my touring pack and they kept contents dry. In that case, also appreciated the multiple lashing points.

I purchased this last spring for my motorcycle trip from Spring Branch, TX up to the Arctic Circle in Alaska and back. It performed flawlessly for the whole 31 days and 11, 525 miles on the back of my MoskoMoto panniers. The little dispensing valve was great, as I could refill small water bottles, brush teeth, splash face and wash hands, wash/rinse dishes, mix cocktails, etc., all right from the bag holder on the back of my bike. I am very happy with the bag and always pleased with MSR products and their Customer Service Dept.

Bought and used on multiday backpack. Overall worked perfectly for what we needed. Con: the elastic tie on one end is not load bearing. Pro: a full bag survived a 6 foot fall onto sharp rocks; no damage at all. The packaging could use directions or link or something with initial cleaning directions. I found them online and no plastic or strange taste at all.

Great for the price. I 'm a hydration pack fanatic because I use them several times a week. This one is quite good. The good: Really well made and durable materials. It is a really versatile hydration pack that can be used for hiking, cycling, etc. It has some internal pockets in the main compartment that really distributes your stuff and the weight well and keeps the pack well balanced. The back pads are nice and plush. The straps are stout. The external stuff pockets on the side/front are very useful. I like how the waist straps tuck away if you are not using them. Trekking pole straps/compression straps are nice. The pack is really streamlined, fits snug against the body, and is very stable for activity. The stuff that can be improved: The hydration bladder and bite valve are not the best, but they do function decent and for the price it is not a big deal. It would be nice to have some sort of velcro on the large external stuff pocket just to secure your stuff a little.

This bag perfect for any and all adventures. It provides just the right amount of space for extra layers, food, and all the necessities. Love how much variety this pack offers! From the trail to the airport, this pack really does it all. I took this pack on a trip to California where I had to pack light, but needed to bring my work laptop and knew I 'd be doing some hiking. It was the perfect pack for the job! It was great for travel and fit everything I needed for a plane ride and easily transitioned to a hike once I got to my destination. It really has the perfect amount of pockets- I love the front `` shove it '' pocket and the interior mesh pocket to keep thing organized. It also has a small pocket on the inside for its rain cover( which is included!) which came in handy while I was on my trip! My favorite feature of the pack is the included water bladder with magnetic connection points that keeps the hydration hose secured to the backpack strap. I 've never had a pack/bladder with this and I 'm obsessed. This pack has very intentional and thoughtful features and I 'm stoked to have it in my gear arsenal. On top of the features, I love how stylish and clean the design on the pack is. This is now a go- to pack for me and I know I 'm going to get a ton of use out of it. Can not recommend this pack enough!

These do wear out with heavy usage and have to be replaced once they start the mysterious slow leak, in which water escapes into the backpack with no discernible source. Such a good bag, 100 oz of water is 4x my large yeti and the bag still has so much room I fit in an additional shoulder bag, snacks, some accessories and some green, and still had the half of the largest pouch not taken up by the water pouch. Bag is comfortable and stylish. Reservoir for water is incredibly well thought out and comes apart easily and in enough places that making sure the pack is dry after use is a breeze. Nice quality straps, small footprint and breathable materials means your back isn ’ t burning up. I ’ d say if you ’ re looking for a pack that will last you a long time and hold up as well as serve you well for carrying most if not all of the things you ’ ll need for 1/2 day hikes, you will be incredibly happy with this bag!

[ Bought this to replace a leaky bladder in my running pack made by another company. It does not leak! The zipper feature is nice; it clicks once it's fully closed. [ This pack made all the difference! Beyond happy with my pro deal sponsorship. I have been using a cheap and poor fitted pack for years and I never realized how big of a difference this would make for my work.
5
Completed the Everest Base Camp Trek a few weeks ago. Out of 8 people in our group there were 5 of us wearing Osprey packs. I had the Scarab 30 and loved it. We hiked in sun and rain, hot and cold, through wood and over rock fields. This pack was on my back every day every step of the way. The bladder was full with an extra bottle of water on the side at the waist belt and the bag was full with essentials for weather swap outs and everything i needed to get from A to B and survive without my big duffel. It never chafed my shoulders or waist, felt great on my back and did n't sweat me up by allowing air to flow around it. It was exactly the right choice. The design of the bladder makes it very easy to fill and shove back in its home. the only thing i would change or add would be a cover over the drinking port. We were dropping our packs in a lot of places, on trails in Tea houses, coffee houses and different temples, everywhere and the drinking port always ended up on the ground. Would of been nice to have some sort of cover.

[ Hydro pack is awesome for the money. It has the straps of the high end packs and the venting of the highbend packs for less money. Literally like wearing nothing. I hiked across Spain for 500 miles over 35 days carrying this pack. I had NO issues and it was so comfortable. I carried about 13- 15 lbs with a water bladder. Only wish the water bladder nozzle had a cover as every time I set the pack down my nozzle touched the ground- good for my immune system! I just feel so grateful for my pack. One of your sales people on the phone recommended it after I tried several other models and sizes. Could n't be happier. One of the zippers broke before my trip but it was n't key. I will call regarding this. Otherwise- highly recommend this pack. So light, so comfy, so kind to my body after a long haul. Thank you.

For ease of use, dependability and comfort during use, Camelback is the BEST

I was looking for a lightweight hyrdation pack to use while cycling. This rig meets all of my requirements except for one... the process of getting rid of the plastic smell and taste of a new unit. Seems like Camelback could develop a consumer product or provide specific guidance on how to resolve this issue. I found several YouTube videos offering advice but none have worked completely yet. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the product.

I 've been purchasing Camelbak packs going on 16 years and now have at least one designated to each activity I do; running, MTB, Cycling, Hiking, and working outside. I would say I still love the fit and durability of each different style I have( the one I use for working outside is the first Rogue I purchased in 2008), and I 'm really happy Camelbak finally upgraded the bite valve design, but the added magnetic clip placement still needs a more permanent home to affix to on the shoulder strap or chest strap, or something. When the only place to affix it to is somewhere along the adjustable side of the chest strap it's just never in a constant place to mindlessly clip it back in. Otherwise, I 'm still a loyal and satisfied user.

I ’ ve had the pack for over a month, works really well for longer trail rides. I am able to carry a pump, extra tube, multi tool as well as an energy bar, keys and smart phone without the pack seeming over loaded or bulky. Traditionally not a fan of riding with packs but this works so well and is great for staying hydrated. Unexpected bonus is my helmet easily clips to the pack when done riding allowing for easier storage. Only difficulty has been filling the bladder, but after a few tries I ’ m not spilling water.

My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. I think you might be able to squeeze into this pack if your torso is 19 '' maximum. Easily the most comfortable pack I have tried on, very happy with my purchase.

[ Excellent service. Thank you so much. Your people are such a joy to work with. However the product zipper has a latent defect that has not been corrected. The zipper doesn ’ t hold up. Only lasts about a year then the cloth part of zipper goes bad. I ’ ve returned daylite many times. While I appreciate the all might guarantee, it ’s still a hassle to continue this process. But, I ’ m with Osprey. Just letting you know because you asked. All the best. J heal.

This is a great pack. I am a big guy( 6 ’ 2 ”, 275) so I do wish I would have gone with the Stout 70 plus, but it is still a great pack. Sits on the back well with plenty of adjustments available. Took some time to get dialed in, but once I did, it was very comfortable.

This is one of Gregory's basic packs, essentially a Baltoro with fewer bells and whistles. I needed a 70 liter pack for a 12 day Philmont Trek, and it survived 2 years of shakedown hikes, and 2 more years of `` regular '' weekend camping use. Works well, and great bang for the buck if you are patient and watch for sales.

Bought this pack for my husband for our upcoming first backpacking trip, because he is a big dude and the options for him were limited. As soon as he got this pack on, we were both so happy at the fit, the quality, the look, and just all the thought that went into this design. It was super nice being able to just buy a pack that actually fits, without having to worry about replacing the hip belt or shoulder pads. We have n't backpacked with it yet, but we have done some long day hikes with all our gear and it seems like a quality pack that will hold up well and we just could not be happier. Also love that it comes with a rain cover, the hip belt pockets are a very good size, and the brain is nice and roomy!
