We bought this a couple months ago to take baseball bats on an airplane for a tournament. Ca n't carry on baseball bats. This bag will fit 3 bats but it's a tight fit. One bat needs to be rotated 180 and you need to pull the bats out slightly to line them up to slide them in. 2 bats, no problem. Why 3 bats? great question. I would buy again and had several people ask me where I got it.
