Been playing for almost 15 years and have not had a iron that checks all the boxes. This is perfect for someone who wants to transition from hollow body irons. Usually, 100% 1020 carbon steel is just for blades until now. You get great forgiveness from a mid handicap standpoint, but when you flush it, it feels unreal. The turf interaction is also fantastic from the sole design on this club. This will be in my bag for years to come.

I 'm 72 yrs young and still have a lot of speed; driver ~90mph, carry 210. I traded in Apex 21 Black for these Ai Smoke with stock Project X Cypher 2 shafts. Those Proj X shafts were too stiff; I returned the set and reordered Ai Smoke with Mitsu Tensei Blue( R). Much better ball flight, medium high, very solid, not soft, feel. Standing over these I see a blade- like topline, and not much offset, but a generous- sized face. I know there's a ton of technology in the club, and a ton of distance. Confidence inspiring. They are half to a full club longer. On windy days, nice to know my irons are long. Callaway hit a home run with these. I bought the bag, too!

I wanted to upgrade my starter set and Kyle understood my goals, I ultimately went with these because they felt best on centered strikes where you could feel the sweet spot and they also felt best on off center strikes. I went in store as a player who floats right around or below 100, I shot a career best 91 two weeks later. Maxfli clubs are legit it ’s great to see them back in the game.

I played Mizuno 921 Forged for two years and loved their feel and workability. But as I have aged, my game has slipped and I wasn ’ t catching that smaller sweet spot from 160 in. Switched to the G430s with regular Alta shafts and Shazam the iron game is back. It took some trial and error with the PW through 58 but the yardage results are tight and satisfying.

This Iron/Hybrid( Max OS) set is working great for me. I ’ m 62 and benefit from the oversized head design along with Regular shafts. My only concern is the pricing. I work at a golf course so I got my set as a gift from the head pro, but I could never afford these. I realize the amount of R& D that went into these and the hope to recoup monies but the only people buying these are rich, old guys. The rest of us lug around old clubs… All in all, great golf clubs as Callaway is known for, but truth be told, they still need to pay their tour pro ’s.

Great irons! Upgraded from some super old Adams irons and the difference is astronomical. Played my first round with them and the exceeded my expectations. The tech is the real deal. They were hot off the face but also very forgiving. Obviously not as forgiving as the ZXi4's but they were very easy to hit. I really like how you can feel your misses. I was a bit nervous to go from game improvement irons to player distance, but it seems to be the best decision. Not only are they great clubs, I can also grow into them as well as my game improves. Glad I went with Srixon ZXi5 irons over the P790's.

Tried these and P790s at Dick ’s. I wanted the P790s but these felt better so I made the leap from Rogue ST Max irons to the ZXi5s for more feedback and feel. After a couple trips to the range to dial these in it was obvious I made the right choice. Learning to hit better irons has shaved 10 legit strokes off my score because they ’ ve forced me to improve my swing to hit these properly and that ’s easy to do. They ’ re very forgiving but mishits will be obvious. Wish I had bought these sooner.

I tried the paradigm smoke irons and I just could not hit them consistently. So I traded them in, which is a fantastic feature of Callaway, on the new Apex I 300. Oh my goodness, what a tremendous upgrade this was for me. These forged irons in a game improvement iron are indescribable perfect in every respect. They are long, and most of all they are incredibly accurate. I applaud the efforts of Callaway to find an iron suitable for my swing. They can do the same for you. Love my new Apex irons!!!!

Just ordered the Ai300 irons with LA 45 shafts. The ball speed, height, forgiveness, spin, and distance were incredible. I also tested the Ai200 irons which were close but not as good for me as the Ai300. The feel was also awesome. I am a senior player with physical limitations and slow swing speed but they really worked for me. I have tried all the other major brands this year and the Ai300s worked best.

There have been 3 game changing irons in my golfing journey. Ping Eye2s, the 1994 Callaway Big Berthas and now the Callaway AI300s. Perfect amount of offset and topline that breeds confidence. You 're not going to work the ball from left to right( for righties) but you can flight the balk.. even for us amateurs. What really sets this set from others is the superior weighting and feel. My set is 2° up and a half inch over standard length. Distance and launch angles were perfect. Traded in T350s for the set.

I 've been switching back and forth between the X Forged and Apex for the last 10+ years. I was fitted for these and could n't be happier( the other finalist irons were Mizuno). These are automatic- aim/swing and be amazed. Smoother than I 've EVER felt before. The trajectory/descent/distance was great. The forgiveness is wonderful. On the few mishits I had, I barely lost any distance, but the line was a little bit off. That was all me and not the iron. Flighted shots were no problem and I could work them either way with no problems either. I 'm a low- mid handicapper( 10. 8- hopefully going lower with these) and was wondering if I was over my head with these. After playing with them, I feel like I COULD be giving Freddie, Steve, Ernie and the rest a serious run for their money. I know that's not gon na happen, but these clubs ooze confidence and consistency. If you want to improve your game, get more confidence in your shots, you owe it to yourself to try these irons out- you wo n't be sorry

I was thinking about getting the older T300 irons, but decided to do a fitting. At the fitting I was able to swing them as well as these, and I 'm glad I did. Ended up deciding on these, have played 3 rounds with them, and have already seen a big improvement in my iron play. I am still a higher handicap player, but these are the most forgiving irons I have hit, and it shows on the course. Would recommend to any other higher handicap player.

I am a 7. 2 handicap. Hit these clubs and fell in love with them. They look fantastic and have a nice feel without the harsh sound that some hollow body clubs produce. They are strong lofted so they are about 7- 8 yards longer than my previous set but still have enough spin and height to stop on the greens. I was torn between this club and the T200 and considered go with a mixed bag but in the end decided to go with the full set of T350's. My dispersion and distance control have met all my expectations. One thing to keep in mind is if you like to work the ball in either direction this may not be the right club for you and I would look at the T150's. Spin numbers and descent angle are good but not in player club territory IMO.

Got fitted into these a month or so ago and have plenty of swings on them. They feel buttery smooth and fly when squared. Even balls off the toe, which unfortunately is a specialty of mine, somehow still carry a long way. I ’ ve had swings where I can feel the club twist in my hand and I look up and see it sailing straight down the range, crazy tech. Some reviewers hate on the looks but I think they look awesome in person. I wanted “ players distance ” irons but couldn ’ t deny how much these will help my game with their forgiveness.
